Pet care experience
Hello my name is Kirstin. I currently live in Lincoln NE. I have always loved animals no matter the species. I currently work at a veterinarian office, as a kennel attendant and receptionist, so I'm not afraid of giving medication. I love to learn about new animals and any fun facts about them. I am also able and comfortable to give medication. I currently volunteer at what is called The Cat House. So I love caring for animals. I have been pet sitting for around 4 years for cats and dogs, but I'm willing to learn what it takes for other animals. I am comfortable with small and large animals and even ones that might be aggressive. I know that if an animal attacks me there was probably something I did to agitate them it usually is never the animal's fault.

Kirstin is absolutely wonderful! She has been doing daily visits with our 2 dogs and they love it! Additionally, she housesat for us, so our dogs could be in the comfort of their home while we were out of town. She's flexible, communicates after each visit, and always sends us great pictures of our dogs. We're very thankful for the outstanding service she provides.

Kirstin stayed at our house with our senior dog and two cats. She sent pictures and updates daily which was appreciated since our senior dog hasn't been eating well. He ate well for her!! She did a great job!

I usually watch the dogs when I let them out into the yard unless the owner has stated otherwise. I carefully measure out the food given. Depending on the weather and usually will wipe dogs paws when they come inside. For any pets that require it, I always make sure to play with them to get physical energy out and to give them mental stimulation.

A typical day
I love exercising a pet physically and mentally. I love taking any animal for a walk or playing with them with toys. I also figure out fun ways to do enrichment to exercise the pet mentally. If the animal allows it I usually try to brush them or provide some sort of grooming

Availability
I currently work part-time, anywhere from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. weekdays, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. all week, or 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. All of this does depend on my part-time scheduling. If you have any questions on how I will care for your pet, don't hesitate to shoot me a question.
