I am very pleased to highly recommend Kirsten for any future house sitting she applies for. She is an intelligent, self reliant woman who quietly goes about her business in an efficient manner. Our cats were well looked after and the house was certainly cleaner than the way I had left it! We had a crisis while Kirsten was in charge and she handled it with aplomb, using her initiative to execute the solution smoothly and without panic. Kirsten will be an asset to this site and if you find her available for a ‘sit’, snap her up before anyone else does. She is welcome back in my home at any time, either as our guest or to look after it while we are absent. I can recommend her without qualms. Kirsten looked after our house and puppy for three weeks in 2017. She also looked after our chickens and watered our garden. Our puppy was almost a year old and needed lots of exercise and attention to tire him out. He still does, he's a smart one. He had never been left with anyone before. She walked him twice a day on a lead, following our training requests, and also brought him to his playdates with neighboring dogs. They went swimming almost every day, until she thought he might have an ear infection. She reached out to me and we both agreed he should go to the vet, which she did. When we got back, our dog was the same affectionate, confident little pup we'd left. That told me that Kirsten had treated him properly. He hadn't developed any bad habits, fears, or aggression. I am still grateful. The thought of leaving our smart puppy with a stranger for three weeks was a bit nerve wracking. But it was clear that she was a gentle soul from the get go and would treat him with kindness. I would recommend Kirsten to anyone wants a committed, gentle, kind person to look after their pet.
