Pet care experience
I am an avid animal lover who is in the hope to one day have a yard to adopt my own dog. In the meantime I’d love to take care of your animals! I have spare time and lots of energy so dog walking is something I love to do! I have a motorcycle so I can come to wherever you are to walk/check on/feed/hangout with your fur babies. I have two cats of my own and work hard to take care of them. I live in the downtown core and am accessible to many dog parks. I have been walking friends dogs and puppy sitting when necessary and want to do everything I can to take care of their needs. I am respectful of dietary needs as well as special needs of animals as well. I have many character references available if you’d like, as well as a full time job as a Supervisor at a popular brunch restaurant. Working with animals is a pastime that I’ve always lived and I am hoping to fill my spare time with lots of animals while saving up for all of life’s little extras.

Kirstin was an absolute gem who took care of our fur-baby, and our home, as if they were her own. Communication was always smooth/prompt and respectful, and her relaxed vibe put our anxiety-prone girl at ease from day one. Daisy-dog is a young 70lb lab-shepherd mix, who has some reactivity to small dogs and strangers, who has separation anxiety, and who got food poisoning right before we left, requiring a bunch of recovery meds and special diet; Kirstin handled all of that with ease. We were overseas for the first time since 2019, and of all the things we stressed about, our dog's care was not one of them. Daisy liked Kirstin so much she was protest-barking at her having to go once we got back... We are happy to have found Kirstin, and would not hesitate to recommend her to someone else.

Kirsten Simoneau is an incredibly caring individual with an enormous love for animals. As a cat owner/parent, she is responsible and attentive. Her cats bring her so much joy, but she longs for more four-legged friends. She has participated in online workshops to learn more about working with wild animals. At the dog-friendly restaurant where we work, she regularly befriends the dogs of guests and they always respond well to her. She is strong, healthy, and loves exercise. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a dog sitter/walker.

I offer house/dog sitting, drop in visits and walks. With those I am highly respectful of your space and a very tidy person, I make sure your pup has their feet wiped after walks, their feeding schedule met, water always filled up. Play with them with their toys, take them for exercise and also respect your rules (no dogs on furniture, appropriate training commands, rituals etc.) with longer stays I also make sure your plants are watered and can cover any chores as well.

I will need to know how your dog is on and off leash, around other animals, and around people so I have a heads up for walks and the dog park. I can adapt to any dog, and have learned ways to keep them active with different needs.
A typical day
I make sure you dog gets more than adequate walks by taking them to a fenced park to throw the chuck it as many times as possible, while checking out smells and going to the bathroom. Then back home, wipe their feet, feed them breakfast and make sure their water is topped up. If it’s a work day for me then I’m off to work from 8-4 and then back for a bathroom break and then back to the park for exercise and then after a nice walk. I spend at least an hour outdoors at this time and then back home for dinner, and cuddling while watching a movie or show.

I currently work a Wednesday-Sunday job at a busy downtown brunch spot, From 8-4. I am super early everyday and love to get outside and then my nights are spent free as well.
