Hey, there fellow pet parents! My name is Kirsten, and I am an extremely passionate animal caretaker. I have worked the past several years as a Veterinary Technician at a notable animal hospital in Raleigh and loved every second of it. My job has made me into a highly knowledgeable puppy/kitty babysitter in every sense. I worked in the kennel where I cared for boarding and daycare pets on a regular basis. I'm completely competent to take care of any medical needs. This extends to but not limited to giving subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections, and any method of medication administration (oral medication, transdermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, etc). I spend 40 hours a week fielding questions and concerns from pet owners, so I know when and where to be concerned, and I have the resources available to me if an emergency were to ever occur. Your peace of mind while away from home is so important, and I am glad to provide it to both you and your fur babies! My experience working in the animal hospital has provided me a lot of insight into the stresses pets face when their parents are away. This is especially true when they are uprooted from their homes and brought to a kennel to stay. Even the fanciest boarding facilities do not compare to their comfy, cozy homes. Not to mention, last minute trips or emergencies can leave your pet stranded when kennels are filled. I am happy to be there as an option for you and your pet family in times planned and unplanned. My drop in visits and walks will include potty breaks/litter box scooping, feeding, medication administration, and a lot of love! Of course, I'm happy to take on any additional household maintenance needs to keep everything as you left it when your away. This extends to taking care of any mail, watering plants, and whatever else you may need. I am also happy to offer other services for a small additional cost, such as nail trims, deep ear cleaning, anal gland expression, etc. Please feel free to inquire about anything else you may need to be done.
