Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and when I was 9 I was gifted my own dog, Tuffy. I took Tuffy through agility and obedience training and have brought these lessons and skills with me into adulthood. At the moment I do not have my own dogs-- I have two cats, Rajah and Pluto-- but I love hanging out with my friend's dogs. I am so beloved by my best friend's twin dogs that I have been dubbed Tia Kira to Rylee and Mally. I have been pet sitting the past few years for family, three separate friends and a professor of mine in San Antonio and would love to meet more doggos. I prioritize visiting pets ASAP before and after my work shifts (and on my lunch break when they are close in Alamo Heights) when I'm petsitting.

Cages weren’t locked properly, both dogs were roaming in the apt and were able to make a mess.
Kira stayed overnight with my two highly energetic dogs while I was out of town. I worry constantly about their wellbeing and left her a novel of instructions on how to care for them, but I did not worry once during her entire stay. She not only cares for dogs basic needs, I know she loves them and enjoys spending time with them as much as they enjoyed having her!
Kira didn't just feed and water my dogs (Mia and Totes) and take them out for bathroom breaks, she dedicated time to hang out with them and make sure they had some company while we were gone. She accommodated special requests I had such as giving Mia her joint supplements and taking a her on an extra long walk. She also made sure to only walk the dogs in the early morning or late evening to avoid the heat. She is a great pet sitter who will listen to and follow any instructions you might have to take extra special care of your furbabies!
While we lived in San Antonio, Kira often took care of our ENERGETIC, medium-sized dog Lucy when we'd go out of town. We asked Kira to just make sure Lucy was fed and watered, and to let her out of the house in the morning, and then back in the house in the evening. Kira, however, went above and beyond by taking Lucy on walks, and keeping her company some afternoons while we were gone. Anytime Kira would come over while I was there, Lucy would get super excited - she obviously loves Kira. Personally, I think Kira is a regular dog / cat whisperer.
