Pet care experience
***9/1/23- I am back to being a full time student with classes on campus Monday-Friday so I am no longer home during weekdays*** I had a family dog growing up, I loved her dearly but I have not had a dog of my own since she passed. Dogs are not new to me and I have missed so much the happiness they bring to me! Since recently moving into my own place, I have become a trusted dog sitter for all my family and friends, and have enjoyed it so much I have now joined Rover, in hopes to do it more often. When boarding for family and friends I have done it for only a weekend to a week at a time, where I am fully responsible for all aspects of care during extended periods of time. I am home most hours of the day so I am able to give bathroom breaks frequently, and will do walks at least once a day or more if needed. And of course endless amounts of love and cuddles.

Ted loves his visits with Kira. He is always happy to see her.
Kira is so wonderful with Hudson. She goes out of her way to take him to places like the farmer's market or a charity walk. Hudson loves her! We love knowing that he's in good hands and will come back a happy pup. We can't thank Kira enough and look forward to using her again soon.
Kira was absolutely fantastic! My Sophia has separation anxiety and boarding would have been a nightmare! This was the alternative and I'm so relieved in how positive it was!
Kira is wonderful! She is great with Ted and always communicates what they are doing. I will continue to use her for when I need someone to watch Ted.

Information Kira J. would like to know about your pet
It is important I know in advance any special needs or care your dog will need. Since I do live in an apartment, it is also important for me to know if your dog is not fully potty trained and often has accidents inside, or if they are an avid barker. However, I do understand they are still a dog, so occasional barking is totally fine, especially if we are playing and they are excited! It’s also important for me to know if your dog is on the shy or skittish side, just so I know where to and where not to walk your dog, so I know if I need to take the extra steps to make them feel safe and comfortable!
A typical day
I live in an apartment complex 5 minutes from downtown Saratoga. My complex has plenty of land for walking as well as a fenced in dog area! Congress Park is a great spot for longer adventures, as well as Broadway, for the dogs that enjoy people, but for the more skittish ones, the State Park is a quitter option with plenty of trails. There is also a dog park nearby for the dog families that like that option as well, but I do understand that is not for everyone/dog. My apartment is also spacious enough to play some fetch or with their favorite toys indoors if the weather is not permitting. I love letting dogs get their energy out and get stimulated! I also love to give dogs the attention they want so after playing or a long walk they are welcome to lay on the couch with me and get lots of cuddles and belly rubs!

Availability
***My schedule has changed which has changed my availability. Please message me if you have any questions*** I currently work part time at a restaurant in Saratoga so my shifts usually start around 4/5pm and end around 12am. I do have a significant other that lives in my apartment so when I am at work, the dog will not be alone and still be able to have bathroom breaks. My new school schedule forces me to be gone most of the day. My boyfriend also works 8-4 so he is home when I am working but not when I am at school.
