Pet care experience
My husband and I have been pet lovers since day one! Between the 2 of us we have cared for everything from dogs and horses to birds and fishes. Our love for pets brought us to an organization that trains Guide Dogs for visually impaired individuals. For years we have taken puppies into our care and trained them for this purpose. While volunteering has been amazing, it comes with a lot of work and attachment to these dogs. We're currently trying to take a break from the program until we're adopting our own dog towards the end of 2023. In the meantime, we would still love to be around animals and thereby help others.

Kira and Christopher are the bestest !!! I did a couple of meet and greets before my trip. With all of them I had good experience but meeting Kira and Christopher gave me a very good and positive feeling. They were asking questions that showed they care about the dogs. I was away for over a week and communication was constant. In other words, they kept sending pictures with descriptions of each day. At some point I started wondering if my dog would be willing to go back home - he really looked at home with Kira and Chris. I can’t praise them enough and I am sure I will be a returning customer. Kira and Chris : thank you very much, you guys are great.
Our dog Leyla is treated like a princess and gets plenty of attention and love from Kira and Cristopher. They are truly great sitters and we will definitely visit with them again. We knew from a previous stay that they were perfect for our doggy and plan to continue with them whenever we travel.
Kira & CJ are amazing! They truly get to know, care for, and love on your pet like they are their own. My puppy, Milo, stayed with them for two separate weeks this month while I was away on travel. I was nervous to leave him for the first time, as he had never stayed with anyone else before, but Kira & CJ were so trustworthy, patient, and knowledgeable that I was reassured he was in the best hands. Milo was anxious at the start of his stay but adjusted so well to their care that he didn’t want to leave. He enjoyed lots of walks, cuddles and play time. The whole time, Kira & CJ are communicative and responsive, sending lots of updates, pictures and videos. They will be the first people I reach out to next time I need a sitter. I highly recommend them!
We cannot say enough kind words about the wonderful visit with Kira and Christopher. They sent incredible photos and communications and we definitely want to use them again. Our shihtzu was thrilled with their care and adjusted easily to being with them.

We have a house with a large fenced in yard where the dogs can get free running time. We also like to go on walks around the quiet neighborhood or enjoy play- & quiet time within the house. Dogs can be crated for small periods if desired but would stay by our side while we're at home.

A typical day
We love planning physical activities and mental enrichments for dogs! We go on frequent walks around the neighborhood, car rides, meeting up with dogs from family and friends, playing with different toys or even working on learning new tricks to get their minds working. It always depends on what your dog is comfortable with, some might need more rest while others love a full program.

Availability
We both work from home with plenty of flexibility to adjust to whatever routine is necessary. The more we can plan ahead the better, but in the past our schedule has always been accommodating towards the animals.
