Pet care experience
French bulldog mom and cat mom too. I’m a retired dental hygienist of 30 yrs & decided to stay home after my french bulldog was diagnosed with spinal issues (IVDD) & had surgery at age 3 at UC Davis. She has other health problems like IBD, luxating patella’s, food sensitivities & frequent UTIs, we got her while living in HI and unfortunately wasn’t from the best breeder. She is now 7 and doing great but Im still cautious of who I leave her with because I feel most people don’t understand the seriousness of her disease because she looks healthy. This is why I wanted to help others with their pets because I feel I’ve learned so much from Baloo. I find that most people with frenchies are uncomfortable leaving them because they tend to have more health problems than most and it is hard to find people we trust with them. I also have a cat named Kona who we got in HI. I want to know my animals are being loved and cared for properly when I’m away and I want to do that for you and your pets. I also have volunteered here in CA at the SPCA and Hanauma Bay in Hawaii.

Kindra is an absolute gem. She took wonderful care of our older dobie and Burmese cat for 4 days. She was professional, reliable, friendly, and genuine in her care for our pets. She went above and beyond. We can’t recommend her enough and are very grateful to have found her.
Kindra was one of the best dog sitters. She went above what was asked of her in regard to our 6 mo. English Bulldog pup,Darla. She really takes the health and wellbeing of your dogs seriously, just like they are her own. We were gone for 10 days and I never once felt uneasy about leaving them in her care! Not only that but she left our house immaculate! I will definitely be rebooking with Kindra for future travel. 🐾🐾
I’m a person who worries about everything but I can honestly say I never once worried about our animals while Kindra was watching them! She gave us constant updates with pictures, usually with the animals draped across her cuddling with her. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our pets were taken care of, and our house was spotless! If I could give more than 5 stars I would and I will definitely use Kindra again!
Kindra is a lovely, responsible person who won over our pups quickly. We will continue to use her as a sitter.

My care for my French bulldog may look different than for most pets because of her spinal issues. We have ramps and gates throughout the house, keeping her from jumping. Food bowls are raised since she had neck surgery. She eats 3 x a day because of her IBD with snacks. And she’s let out to potty frequently because of her UTIs. We have beds throughout the house so she’s never lying on the floor and our cat uses them too. And of course there is always fresh water for both my dog and cat. Both animals are kept inside unless we are outside with them. I would care for your pets as you ask me to because no pets are the same. I want you to feel comfortable that your pets will be well cared for.

I always want to know which veterinarian you use and emergency vet. Also I would want to know if there are any health problems with your pets, food sensitivities, and if any medications need to be given. And of course when you want your pets fed and how much.
A typical day
I will play with and or walk the pets I care for as the owners would like me to. My own pet because of her spinal issues can only have short walks. I also use a snuffle mat and different ways to hide treats for her to find.

Availability
When pet sitting at a clients home I stay longer than most pet sitters, including my own. I usually only leave the clients home to attend to my own pets & home for 3-4 hrs per day. And sometimes I will do a drop in visit for another client during that period of time. I feel that most animals can go for 3-4 hrs before the next potty break, but of course I will personalize each clients needs. I love animals and have always had a cat and a dog and when our boys were younger we had guinea pigs, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks and goats. Now that I’m retired from dental hygiene I’m available for your pets when needed.
