Pet care experience
QUICK NOTE 8/13/23 (I'll edit this as needed): I am not employed as of this moment. That said, it is possible I'll get a job that requires me to be in an "in person" office setting. Quite frankly, as a pet owner too, I'd like to avoid cancelling on you last minute, so if your pup isn't able to be home without a human, it might not be a great fit. I hope to be working from home in the future, and will keep this as accurate as possible moving forward. HOURS: I'm happy to discuss late/early pickups and drop offs for one-off situations, but I'm not a late night person at all, so 10:00pm is the latest I'm willing to go for anything. Daycare hours: 6:00am-9:30pm, no exceptions. Typical activity: My little dog isn't very playful, he pretty much ignores other dogs and prefers my lap. His sister is still very playful, but in shorter doses as she's older now. I try to do a lot for them with various enrichment activities. I have a little indoor agility set they love playing with, copious amounts of puzzle toys, and their favorite game is waiting for me to hide treats the apartment so they can run around and go find them all. Your dog would have regular walks throughout the day, with at least one of them being a longer (1hr+) walk (weather dependent). I decided to sign up for Rover to help others in between fosters coming and going. I will treat your pet as my own, including the excessive amount of treats my little man demands on walks. :)
Reviews
pro as they come, thank you!
Kimberly is the best! She is so sweet to Reba and even taught her to sit on command during one if her visits.
Kimberly has been amazing with my dog Charlie! She responds to requests promptly and I know that Charlie is in good hands with her. Charlie always comes home happy and tired, which is perfect.
Kimberly was a wonderful, wonderful dog sitter. The amount of love and expertise, as well as her willingness to individualize care to each and every one of her dogs she watches, is remarkable. She asked ALL of the right questions, gave frequent updates, and I felt that, at the end of the day, she really knew my dog well. She is gifted with knowing how to care for dogs and that truly comes through in every interaction with her. Her pups, Lucy and Hank, are lovely as well. I so enjoyed getting to meet her and her pups. You would be lucky to have her watch your dogs if needed. :) I am so grateful for her!

I am in an apartment, so high energy dogs might not be a great fit without a yard. I am also along busy roads, which sometimes scares more skittish dogs with all the city noises. My dogs are no longer kenneled when I leave home, and that would be the case for any well-behaved dogs that stay with me. If I see signs of personality clashes between my dogs and a guest dog, I will kennel them, or leave them in separate rooms while I'm away from home for safety and peace of mind.

Information Kimberly T. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs, or behaviors to be aware of. Are they leash trained? Do they lunge at others? Are they heavy barkers? Show signs of resource guarding? Have separation anxiety?
A typical day
I usually take the dogs through City Park or Cheeseman Park once a day for a longer walk. In poor weather, I have some nose work games they play inside (find the buried treats) and plenty of dog puzzle toys.

Unfortunately, I was part of lay-offs in the tech space recently, so I am back to looking for a job...… It’s possible I find a job that requires me in person, but for now, I have all the time and love to give your loved ones! About me: I have two of my own dogs, and I've also volunteered for a rescue (10+ years) as a foster home. I've probably fostered over 40 dogs in the past 4 years alone, with various health issues, and care regimens. Personally, I've had dogs my entire life, and probably always will.
