Pet care experience
I’ve had long term relationships with dogs, cats and horses most of my life. I have helped family, friends and co-workers feed and walk their pets while out of town or working long hours. I currently have two sweet kitties I live with. Before my kitties came to live with me I had Chesapeake Bay Retriever who lived to be 18 years old. I have lived in Anchorage since 1978, I have a flexible schedule and would love to assist you with your pet care needs. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

I am happy to write a recommendation for Kimberly. Our pets- two dogs and a kitty- adore Kimberly. She has the perfect temperament to take care of our babies. In fact, I think she does a better job than we do. They are always happy to see her. Kimberly is careful to follow their dietary needs and is sure to get the dogs out for walks a couple of times a day. She also is very respectful of cleaning up after them. We never worry when we are away if Kimberly is our pet sitter.

I feel that it is important that pet care happen in your home due to it makes it more comfortable for your pet without introducing too much change. My two kitties would be very upset if I lest them in a strange environment while I took off for 3 weeks. The same thing with my dog, he was so much more comfortable at home when I traveled and worked long hours. One of my kitties has arthritis, so I administer medication to her daily. I can provide this service as well, if your pet is taking medication. I love walking and would love to spend time with your dog going on daily walks, and providing play time. Some kitties are very active and love playtime every day, and some just want to be snuggled with or left alone due to shyness. I am willing to work with your pet’s personality.

I find it’s very important for the dog sitter/walker to know about all aspects of your dog’s personality and habits, in order to provide the best care and safety for your pet and myself.
A typical day
As long as the client approves, I like to walk the Anchorage trail system. I also like exploring new neighborhoods. These activities would also be dependent on your dogs trail ability and socialization with other dogs. I would not to be put in the middle of a bad situation.
