While dogs and cats have always been part of my family, I have also volunteered at The Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society and the Michigan Humane Society for over 7 years. I worked with veterinarians for 5 years handling animals for them during basic exams. I became a certified Tellington Touch Practitioner (a two-year course that focuses on gentle, holistic methods to train and help animals achieve a balanced, healthy state of mind and body) and I'm simply happiest when I'm among animals.
