Give your doggie a vacation!

Pet care experience

First, please ensure your dog has the flu vaccine asap, along with flea and tick treatment! When I was young, my family bred and showed Irish Terriers. I love all pets. When I couldn’t have a dog I had a cat. We live in Kensington. Maryland and have a large fenced-in backyard. My kids love to join me in walking and truly “babying” our visiting doggies! I telework full-time and take the dogs that visit for a nice walk, which is good for both of us. ;) When we moved into this house 5 years ago we were not ready to buy a dog with our then 2-year-old, so I started watching dogs for neighbors. It has blossomed since that time! I am happy to provide references. You bring the food and leashes and we provide the love and fun! Since I telework full-time and my child is in school and or camp in the summer, my schedule is pretty open. I have a great fenced-in back yard that is quite large for the area and my kids and visiting doggies love it! We also live in a dog-friendly neighborhood and people are always walking their dogs! I feed the dogs the food you provide per your instructions and medicine if needed.

I’m so glad to have met Kimberly! I have been taking my dog to her 3-4 days a week while I’m at work for the past few months. My dog absolutely loves going there! She updates me with lots of cute pictures and videos and is super flexible with pick-up/drop-off times which I really appreciate. I can tell that Kimberly and her family truly care about my dog. I’d definitely recommend her!

I feel so lucky to have found Kimberly! She has boarded my dog overnight while I’ve been out of town on multiple-night trips, and it has been great for my dog and for me. She treats my dog as if he were her own. She and her family cuddle the dogs, and play with them, and the dogs live in the house and yard as if they were at their own home. She also sends me photos of my dog with little updates, which really puts my mind at ease. A huge benefit of boarding at Kimberly’s house is that she has a large, beautiful, fenced backyard where the dogs all play together. I love that she has multiple dogs at her home at a time, and that she so carefully screens the dogs. My dog always enjoys his time there, and is excited when we arrive. The other dogs are sweethearts, and I never have to worry about a problem with another dog. Kimberly is also a natural with dogs. She intuitively understands them, and is comfortable with all dog behavior. She puts all of the dogs at ease, and they all want to be the apple of her eye. My dog is literally thrilled to see her at drop off.

Amazing Dog Sitter!! My wife and I went out of the country for 11 days in January 2023 and our 2 Goldens spent the time at Kimberly's house. Kimberly makes you feel so comfortable about leaving your pets with her. She has such a great disposition and its really obvious she loves dogs!! As does her husband and daughter! She allows the dogs to be up on the furniture (which my dogs tend to like to do!) and she has a great big fenced in yard for them to run around in. The entire time we were away Kimberly was sending photos of the dogs - including many with them laying on the couch with her daughter and/or husband. It was great to see them being taken in as part of the family. But the most amazing thing was what Kimberly did when one of my dogs got sick. One of the dogs starting having some major gastrointestinal issues (and unfortunately was having accidents in the house which is very unlike her). Kimberly went out of her way to provide the dog with some bland diet, and then took the dog to our own vet when things continued for more than half a day. Our vet was like 15 miles from her house. She stayed as the dog got examined and then brough her back to her house where she took great care of her with a new diet and medications. Our dogs are our world and Kimberly did such an excellent job of getting our Golden through a bad time. She is so trustworthy and responsible! We already have her booked for our next vacation and i cant say enough good things about her and her family.
