TRUST, RESPECT, LOVE

Pet care experience

Hey there! I’ve been working with animals for over 5 years now and have truly found my passion. I have experience in dog handling, animal behavior, and helping pet parents establish better walking habits and instilling good behaviors at home. I’d love to host your furry friend for boarding, sitting, or just a good old walk. One of my favorite things about working with animals is being able to discover new personalities and help pet parents learn a new way to communicate with their furry fam.

I 150% recommend Kim to watch any type of dog. My dog Macho is a German Shepherd 4 years old and he is very active. I was a little nervous leaving macho in the watch of my neighbors when I went to visit my best half over seas. She did it all. Feed him, bathed him, walked him and even told him to his favorite dog park. Kim kicks butt and whenever I need someone I can trust and that will always be Kim.

Kim has taken care of my golden doodle a few times while I was on vacation. My dog can be a bit reluctant when meeting new people, but she has been great with him. I never felt worried leaving him with her for a couple days. She handles him well, and you can tell that she really loves taking care of animals. I would definitely recommend her to others in need of pet care.

Kimberly is better known as the Dog Whisperer in my neighborhood. From the moment I got my two pups a decade ago, there has been a connection between them that is undeniably genuine and beautiful. She can tame even the most vicious of pets and teach old dogs new tricks. Just recently, on my dog's tenth birthday, she was able to teach him how to 'play dead'. Truly amazing. In the nearby park, dogs Kim never met before sense her welcoming aura and motion their owners to go towards her. Whenever she pets animals, they fall into a relaxing state, similar to the way humans experience going to the spa. Not only is she great with dogs, but she has also cared for cats, bunnies, parrots, parakeets, and more. I highly recommend her to be your next pet sitter. You won't regret it.

I live in an apartment with two dogs. My days usually include an hour walk in the morning, a 30 minute walk during the day, and a 45- hour long walk at night. If I’m housing or doing daycare services, there can be added relief walks just to ensure we stick to a dog’s potty schedule. Those are about 5 minutes. During the day we have play time/solo time so dogs can interact or unwind. I also do training if requested. A training session can be held 3+ times a day and range from 15-60 minute intervals (depending on a dogs focus level) I do also crate the dogs I host. It’s for the safety of the dogs. If you have any questions on specifics please feel free to message me.

Information Kimberly L. would like to know about your pet

I have 3 important asks. 1) Is your dog crate trained/ are you okay with them being crated? I don’t allow dogs to free roam in my home unless supervised. If I need to step out or work with another dog that is reactive or needs solo time then your dog will be crated. 2) Is your dog reactive? This means does your dog display any signs of fear or aggression? Example: lunging at dogs/people on walks. Possessive over food/treats. Barking at the door. Bite history. Mainly anything I should watch out for, not only for my safety, but for your dogs safety as well. 3) Does your dog have any allergies? I have treats I can give if you don’t provide any for your pup, but I always make sure it’s okay with a dogs diet. It’s always good to have an idea of the kind of dog I’m working with prior to hosting them so I can provide them with the best care.

A typical day

During a daycare or overnight stay you can guarantee we’ll be going to the park daily. There is one not too far from me that I frequent. It has a nice trail and a lake we can walk around. I have a long line (a 30ft leash) I can bring so we can play fetch or just give a little more freedom to roam. I do not do off leash walks unless I am familiar with the dog and know that their recall skills are 100% there.

Pet care is currently my livelihood. I eat sleep and breathe dogs. I own two dogs myself (one being a puppy and the other a senior) and walk another dog full time during the week. I also do training on the side. My availability is open. Send me a message for any inquiries.
