Will jog with your dog! :D

Pet care experience

I've owned my dog for several years now. Despite being adopted as an adult, he successfully learned 8 commands within one week thanks to my tutelage. I am an active person who will also run (I KNOW, CRAZY RIGHT?!!!) with your high energy dogs if they need it. This is going to be my part time job with no competing activities besides my daily training. (I'm preparing to run a marathon). I will obviously update as needed. I have an 11 year old, 20 pound dog named Monty. He is up to date on shots and is fine with other dogs. We do most of his grooming at home except during the summer months. My dog is allowed to come and go as he pleases through the backyard. Everyday, I exercise my dog 1-2 hours through walking, jogging, fetch, and rehearsing his tricks. If your dog needs to lose weight, then I'm your gal.

Kimberly did a good job house sitting and care for my 2 puppies. She was very responsive and sent photos everyday. She followed all the instructions.

TLDR; Kim is the best dog sitter you can hire! We have an extremely anxious dog with separation anxiety and trust issues. She doesn't like dog boarding facilities. House sitting is really the best option for her. After interview several sitter, we found Kim! This was the first time we had someone house sit and dog sit at home and were a bit anxious. After all we were handing our two most valuable possessions in a stranger's care for the first time. All my anxiety disappeared in a couple of days. Cheetos was not only comfortable with Kim, she was glued to her! I had left detailed instructions for Kim and she followed them all to the T. She gave Cheetos lots of walks and sent us several pictures every day. She gave us updates on how Cheetos was doing (behaviorally, was she stressed, was she eating, was she drinking water etc). We came back to a clean house and a happy dog. Cheetos was very sad when she realized Kim was leaving. We are sure to hire Kim for walks and house sitting in future.

My dog, Monty receives 2 walks a day. Each one is 30 minutes long. He used to jog with me with me when he was younger, but now we only do it the last 2 minutes of our walk (racing home). He knows 8 commands, and I rehearse those commands with him every day, rewarding him with jerky pieces and verbal praise. We play with his toys for maybe 10 minutes. He fetches, but he never learned to retrieve. We play of tug of war with his toys as well. I give him a bath roughly once every 2 weeks.

Information Kimberly D. would like to know about your pet

I need to know about your dog's special needs, if any. If your dog has had past aggression issues (with people/dogs/small animals, etc), then I need to be informed immediately. Please provide your own leash, harness, and muzzle (if necessary). ***PLEASE be educated on what is the difference between a "flat/base rate" and a "sum total." I will give a final quote for my services as soon as I am able. I reserve the right to charge extra for the following: short notice, aggressive animals, unhygienic conditions (if overnight stay, I ask for a clean restroom and a clean sleeping area), or anything else about the request that would make things markedly more difficult. I request payment up front, either before or during services rendered. If you want to shop around for the quotes of other sitters and walkers, then that is perfectly fine and I even encourage it. Update: Drop-ins and Housesitting appointments require at least 7-day notification of cancellation. If you still wish to cancel, you will only receive a partial refund.

A typical day

I like to walk my dog at a normal pace, and then initiate a faster pace heading back home (essentially racing him to the front door). I’ll match to your dogs energy level. I find emotional and Intellectual stimulation just as important as physical. My overnight stays are filled with much couch cuddling and attempts to teach new commands. Hiking with dogs is also fun.

Availability

24-hour cycle House-sitting: I wake up and jog 1-2 hours in your neighborhood. I repeat that activity in the evening. I will jog with your dogs if they need it. If your animals absolutely can’t be left alone for longer than an hour, then I will accommodate you by exercising inside your home. I bring my laptop and charger and might need a Wi-Fi password. I don’t need food, and I refill my water bottle at your home. My service radius is relatively small, so you can trust that I won’t stray too far from your home, even in the event I am unfortunately called away for a personal emergency.
