Growing up I helped my neighbor train her dog to become a service dog, so I have some experience training puppies to walk on a leash, sit, come, stay. I grew up with a miniature poodle who I taught how to shake and rollover. My husband grew up with a boxer who was very well trained and did not need a leash because of how well she was trained.
