I have always had dogs in my life, with more than 20 years of experience both owning and looking after dogs. I grew up with Labrador retrievers, who acted like puppies, even when they were 10 years old. I have had my own twelve-year-old black lab, who grew up in a two-bedroom apartment in Buenos Aires and is bilingual (although he no longer lives with me); a few years ago, he was "kidnapped" by his human grandfather ;) to be a stand-in for another dog who had passed way. Even though I know he is providing much needed companionship to someone else, I miss him, especially since he was my hiking, biking, and running buddy! While I cannot host dogs in my home (due to building regulations), I can take them on daily walks, playdates at dog parks, and even hikes. I can also take care of your canine companions in your home. I would love to do any or all of these activities with your dog! Additionally, I have experience with anxious recovery dogs and dogs who have been through traumatic experiences. For example, I recently played nurse to my family's 11-pound terrier twice: once after she was brutally attacked by a large dog that had wandered off his property (not a scene I would like to re-watch) and later after she had knee surgery to repair a genetic defect.
