I’ve been a dog lover most, if not all, my life. I had the same miniature schnauzer (“Max”) from age 6 to 21 years old. He was obviously well-loved and taken care of to live that long! After finishing college and joining the military, I took a hiatus from owning a dog (due to deployments/overseas assignments) but would spend time with friends who did, and sometimes would “baby”sit for them. Currently, I have a very spoiled Red-nosed Pitbull/Labrador mix (“Angel”) that I rescued from a pet shelter five years ago in SC; but she actually rescued me from stress and anxiety. She’s also a handful and still trying to figure out how to play with our 2-yr old son. Nevertheless, she loves our evening and night-time walks, which are meditative and very therapeutic. We’re both nature lovers at heart. A little more about me…I’m active duty in the military with 18.5 years of service. My goals are to retire debt free outside home in SC and spin more quality tie with family for 6 months before beginning a new career as a civilian. So naturally, helping others care for their pets or provide a service they may not physically be able to do helps me reach my goals. Plus, I just love dogs!
