Pet care experience
My name is Kimberley. I have an 8 year old shepherd/husky mix & 4 cats in my small, but lovely home in Tacoma. Recently I went through a few large life changes....(ending a relationship, career change). I am a para educator in an elementary autism class. I LOVE my new job after leaving Medical Assisting, and I hope to get my teaching certificate one day. This new job finds me flexible for a part time gig. My house: I live in a small 3 bedroom home with a large fully fenced in yard. My cats can be locked in the catio for hours while I leave the door open on a sunny day monitoring dogs in the yard, or while throwing a chuck it for a more ball motivated dog. My services include dropping by to check in on your pup, watching your pup in my home during the day or night if my schedule permits, or house sitting for your pup. If providing boarding/doggy day care services in my home a meet and greet will be necessary prior. Experience with cats is preferred.

Kimberley was a great sitter for our black lab. Her dog, Khloe, is very sweet and got along great with our dog. They went to Magnuson dog park every day, so she got a ton of exercise. She sent lots of pics and updates. I would highly recommend Kimberley to be a caretaker and companion for your dog!
Kimberley is fantastic and so is her dog Khloé! We met at Magnuson park, the dogs hit it off and I dropped my dog George for the weekend. Unfortunately, my dog became over-protective of Kimberley around her roommates! So the sitter was perfect — my dog - not so much. With a less protective, more friendly dog - this is perfect for a short stay with lots of love and trips to the dog park!
Our 2 year old pup Lilly had a great time while staying with Kimberley! We met at Magnuson park for a meet and greet and things went very well. I could tell right away that Kimberley would take good care of Lilly based on how she spoke about her very well behaved 2yr old husky mix Khloe. Lilly can be shy at times but she warmed up quickly and did very well with Kimberley and Khloe. Photos of Lilly running around having fun at the dog park were very great to see ...she even got Lilly to swim, something we have not been able to get her to do much of! Also, Kimberley was flexible about pickup and drop off.
Kimberly did a great job with Keba, my furry ball of energy. She was flexible with drop off/pick up times and sent multiple text and photo updates. Keba got plenty of exercise going to he dog park for a couple hours each day. She was also understanding when Keba had a couple accidents in her home. Keba came home tired and happy after her stay.

My older dog is so dog friendly. Her name is Khloe and has had 2 knee surgeries, a toe removed, and is 40 lb over weight. I hope she will frolic with your pup in our fully fenced yard, and become less stiff/more happy this Summer. This home is a clean, friendly, and relaxed environment where a dog will feel right at home and loved. I do have 4 cats so I will accept dogs on a dog by dog basis in my home.

A typical day
I have a very spacious yard for ball throwing, laying in the sun, frolicking with each other. I have a safe neighborhood for extra walks with leash trained dogs, but I think the yard will be the best environment for our furry guests this Summer.

Availability
Currently I am a para educator at a local Elementary School. My work hours are 8:45 am to 3:45pm with a 30 minute lunch break that I am able to come home for 20 minutes for a dog potty break. I have roommates who are often around intermittently who are always willing to let a dog out to go potty, and let them back in when done. After June 23rd I will be free this Summer picking up shifts at my retail job at the mall, and free to watch dogs. I am not away from my home for more than 5.5 hours at a time, and when I do leave there is always a plan for care for all of the animals.
