Ret.RN Loving Care for your pet

Pet care experience

I am a retired registered nurse. I worked in critical care for fourteen years. I have always loved dogs, all dogs big and small. I have been pet sitting for family and friends for years. In 2017 I decided to start my own pet sitting business and I am so glad that I did! I have met so many wonderful families and have had the privilege of caring for their very special four-legged family members! My experience as a critical care nurse has been a valuable asset to my clients and their pups. For those aging pups that are on medications or have special needs my services have been a welcome comfort to many pet parents. SERVICES (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) ****BOARDING (my home) $55/day both holiday and non-holiday dates ***Overnight Care: starts @ 5:30 pm and ends at 8 am next morning Non-Holiday Rates Holiday Rates $60/night @ your home $65/night @ your home $45/night @ my home $50/night @ my home Dogs are not only our precious pets but are special members of our family. If you choose to have your four legged family members stay in my home they will experience a loving, peaceful & comfortable home setting with a fully secure 5 foot fence in the backyard. Your pet(s) will be fully supervised (in or/and outdoors) the entire time while in my care. If you prefer to have me stay with your loved one(s) in your home that is an equally non-stressing option, whichever option works best for your family is what works for me. I will care for your family member as if they were my very own. Overnight stays start between 5:30 and 6pm and ends at 8am the next day. I will follow your detailed instructions; provide individual play time, fresh air, healthy snacks (approved by owner), rest time and best of all belly rubs and love! While your baby is in my care you will receive a PET PARENT REPORT (electronic). I am available to face-time whenever you like and as many times as you like! I will send videos and photos of our days/evenings together each day. We all need vacation time away but when your pet is not able to travel with you, having peace of mind that your four-legged babies are being SO well cared for, well that just makes vacation all that much more fun and relaxing. ~When I am hired to house sit and care for your pet I will pooper scoop on a daily basis (in area your pet uses to relieve himself). **Doggie Day Care (8a-6p): Non-Holiday Rates Holiday Rates $35 full day up to 10 hrs. $40 full day up to 10 hrs $30 half day up to 5 hrs $35 half day up to 5 hrs If you need a half or full day of doggie day care I provide this in my home from the hours of 8a - 6p. Your pet(s) will enjoy a peaceful, fun loving day! We will play, enjoy our fenced in backyard, rest and receive lots of love. No worries about your dog(s) becoming bored, chewing on furniture, scared and alone during storms and not being able to hold “it” while you are at work. You will have a much more productive and worry-free workday knowing that your pet(s) is being taking care of just like family. You will receive a PET PARENT REPORT (electronic) each day your pet(s) stays with me. You will also receive updates throughout the day on how your pet is doing (videos and photos). I am available to face-time whenever you like and as many times as you like! *Check-in visits (60 min): Non- holiday Rates Holiday Rates One hour $20 One hour $25 Two hours $30 Two hours $35 One or two hour check-in visits allow me time to provide individual attention to your pet. Some of my clients like to snuggle on the couch and some like to play fetch outside. The truth of the matter is they enjoy QUALITY time vs. someone running in and out of the home. During this time I will be sure your dog(s) goes potty, has fresh water, enjoys some playtime and of course receives lots of love. You will receive a PET PARENT REPORT (electronic) for each check-in visit. I am always available to face-time whenever you like during my visit. What Kim needs to know about a pet(s) before sitting for him or her: *Departure Date, Return date, name, address and phone number of hotel or rental home, flight itineraries and emergency family contact numbers. *Your pets medical history ~ any medications your pet takes, any allergies * Is your pet micro-chipped *Vet Name, address and emergency phone number(s) *Meal times, name of food, amount to feed your pet(s) *Are your pet(s) current on all vaccinations including flea/tick/heart-worm medication. **Please note that ALL vaccinations must be up to date in order for me to provide care for your pet(s). *Does your pet get along with other dogs, cats, children and adults (gender issue?). *Does your pet have a food or toy aggression? Training: While I am caring for your pet I like to incorporate and help pet parents work on any training your pet(s) is receiving. I can help with basic obedience (sit, stay, come, release, let go, down, shake, crawl) or whatever specific training your pet(s) is currently working on. Training should be a positive experience. Training reinforcement using trust treats and lots and lots of patience; and then some more patience is very rewarding when you see the desired outcome. Retirement Mission: To foster or adopt an adult or senior dog(s) who perhaps had a very hard start in life. I would gain great satisfaction providing love, protection and peace to a pet that may be at the end stage of life. All dogs DESERVE to know that they matter and are loved.

We just returned from 6 days away, while Kim stayed in our home and took care of our 2 Springer Spaniels. The house was sparkling clean, the garden was alive and well, and most importantly, the dogs had obviously been well cared for. Kim sent photos, videos, and reports every day. She has a very calming presence and the dogs adore her. Kim's husband Mark helped out too, and was a big hit with the pups. We were running late coming home (I-85 is the worst!), so Kim came back to feed the dogs for us. Outstanding service. We will definitely be asking "Aunt Kim" to take care of our furbabes again.

Kim and her husband were great! This was probably the first time our dogs weren’t ecstatic to go home when we boarded them somewhere (seriously)! We received videos and photos and could facetime Kim whenever we wanted and just seeing them so happy and having a great time really put us at ease when we were on vacation. It really made our vacation better. They received lots of love and we even got a pet report each night. The best boarding experience we have ever had and we plan to use Kim again.

Kim is the ultimate professional with a genuine love for animals. She is responsible, attentive, and caring, but also fun loving and playful which set us and Diva completely at ease. I came home to a happy dog, an orderly home, and will not hesitate if work requires me to travel again!

Being new to town and finding someone trustworthy to watch our fur babies over the holidays was extremely stressful. We hit the jackpot with Kim and Mark. She is a former RN and she brings that same passion for caregiving to pet clients. She took extensive notes during our meet and greet and continued that attention to communication and documentation with us while we were away providing daily videos and pictures. I trust her implicitly with our kids as well as our home. Furthermore, we had a last minute change to our travel plans and she went above and beyond to accommodate. Kim is a rockstar. I will definitely use her again.

A typical day

A typical day for me begins with a coffee and review of my pup sitting calendar. I begin drop in visits between 11am and noon. I usually return home in the late afternoon just in time to pack up and head out for a house sitting assignment. If no evening assignments then work on my garden, FT with my family and take care of our home. I have a blessed life for sure!
