Customized care for your fur-baby!

Pet care experience

PLEASE NOTE: Currently, I can only care for housetrained, healthy, well-mannered (do not pull on leash) dogs because I am nursing a minor elbow injury to my dominant arm. If you’re new to Rover, please enjoy a 20$ discount off your first booking with my promo code: KIMR32975 My experience with caring for animals is extensive and varied! Over the years, I have been entrusted with dogs, sheep, cats, turtles, and snakes. Mostly, I have taken care of dogs - feeding, walking, bathing, playing, relaxing, and staying safe! I have the most experience with pit bull breeds and brachycephalic breeds such as French Bulldogs that cannot overexert themselves, tolerate heat, etc., but I welcome all breeds!! Please provide detailed info about how to best care for your unique dog. I will keep you informed of how we are doing so you can rest easy that your pup is safe and comfortable. I will always keep your pup on leash when outside - and never tied outside while I go into a restaurant, store, etc. I prefer to avoid dog parks but if you’re doggo likes “human parks” then they’ll be very happy with me!

Kim is our favorite sitter and might literally be the best sitter out there. She really goes above and beyond to ensure that our Mochi girl is comfortable and well-tended to. She always sends fun updates and photos which helps with OUR separation anxiety when we’re away.

Hi Aunty Kim! Thanks for being patient with me. I love hanging out with you when my mom and dad are out of town 🤗 Love, Kinsley the Irish Setter

Kim was great! She sat our pug, Frank, and I loved that she knew what she was doing with short-nosed pups. Especially in LA, I worried about Frankie in the heat but I knew she was in good hands with Kim! She sent lots of pictures and kept me very up to date on how little Frankie was doing. If we are ever in the area again, I will absolutely trust Kim with our Frankenstein. Absolutely recommend her, especially for pugs and other such breeds!

I live in a pet-friendly, gated apartment complex with a courtyard so we have very easy & safe access to the outdoors. I live on the first floor and only have 2 small steps in my apartment so it’s no problem if your pup has a tough time with stairs. I will only feed what you typically feed to avoid allergies or digestive issues.

Information Kim R. would like to know about your pet

It’s important to know your dog’s routine/preferences. I will read through your profile carefully and discuss at the meet and greet. If your pup gets separation anxiety, I will make sure to spend extra relaxation time with him/her especially right after you leave. Any tips and tricks about your dog are welcome and appreciated! For example, when my dog, Zeus, was alive, I told sitters that he’d probably stare at the door and not eat much for the first day but giving calm affection, having his bed by the door, and getting some of the chicken I put in his care bag might help him relax and get something in his stomach. And it worked!

A typical day

Generally, a typical dog care day would consist of 15-25min walk around 7/8am before or after their breakfast, 10-15 min walk around 1pm, a 20-40min walk around 5/6 pm before or after dinner, then 10-15 walk before bedtime. My neighborhood has safe, clean, quiet sidewalks and pocket parks- we can walk up hills or avoid hills. There is a nearby (10min walk) park with a choice of flat lawn or hilly trail. I’m a 15-20min drive to Griffith Park and the Verdugo Mtns. I also love bringing dogs to walk along the waterfront in Santa Monica. I’m always up for exploring new parks & trails. If you’re dog is into fetch, I’m up for that anytime! A relaxing coat-brushing session and playing with toys will also be part of my daily activities with your pup.
