Pet care experience
We are full time Florida Residents living in Punta Gorda. We miss our 15 year old Bedlington Terrier named Zeke who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in Dec. we now have a rescue named Greyson, he is a whippet mix about 21lbs. He is fun to have and seems to like most dogs. We have been taking care of our own pets for many years. Our small friend Zeke loved the company of the small neighborhood Dogs, so we decided to start Ma & Pa's Small Dog Retreat. Dogs have free roam in our home, fenced yard, screened porch, and sun porch.They even let us share the furniture every once in a while. We offer both Daycare and Boarding Services as well as a complimentary 1 hour meet and greet. We have used Rover services when we used to travel, and believe the meet and greet (when possible) is a valuable service. We want you to feel comfortable that your dog friend(s) will enjoy his or her stay while you enjoy your time away.

Trixie was very well cared for I was out of state. She had access to a fenced-in yard and very comfortable resting/sleeping locations. She was very well fed and received lots of attention from the staff, who are most definitely dog lovers. She will be staying there again when I travel and are unable to take her with me.
Kim has cared for our dogs many times over the past several years. She is a dog lover at heart and has always treated our dogs as her own! Over the past 5 years she has cared for our dogs from puppy to adulthood - both day care and overnight. She will provide a safe and loving environment for your pups too!
Kim and her husband Paul are true animal lovers. They take exceptional care of their own pet and provide the same level of attention, care and concern to all dogs. I would highly recommend Kim and Paul.
Kim has the perfect place for dogs! A fenced in yard with space for them to run and play. She also has two screened in porches and some secret indoor spaces for the dogs to enjoy some alone time as well. A great getaway for beloved pets!

A typical day
Dogs enjoy running in the yard or going on walks through the neighborhood or just hanging out, which we do a lot of. Ninety Per-cent of our neighborhood is seasonal residents. Busy with golf carts from November through April and pretty much empty for the rest of the year. a very quiet peaceful location on a dead end street.
