Extra playtime can help keep our pets happy and healthy. ***Happy to handle special diet requests for your pets.*** I enjoy being around critters of all kind, comfortable with all doggie sizes from Chihuahua to Mastiff. Familiar and comfortable using all collar and harness set ups to keep pups safe on walks including prong/pinch collars. I was a volunteer at the local Humane Society in my city and was quickly hired for a full time position. I’ve always had a keen eye and strong connection with pets, and my role with the Humane Society really enhanced my ability to observe animal behavior and mannerisms to make sure everyone is safe and happy. Shelter life is dangerous for litters of young puppies and kittens, seniors and unsocialized pets, so I often fostered the animals needing extra care to prepare them for their future forever homes. I attended classes and seminars to earn my Pet CPR/First Aid certification, and constantly seek further education in animal care. I've been through 2 training courses with my own dogs, and my oldest has even earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate using the lessons we learned. My family consists of 2 rescue dogs, Lola (8, Catahoula Leopard Dog) and Lily (7, Brittany Spaniel/Lab Mix). I've raised both from a very young age, and they are members of my family. I’ve been the “go to gal” for friends and family with anything animal related, pets and wildlife for the past 20+ years. My household has included dogs, cats, turtles, fish, snakes, birds, mice, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons throughout the years, and I’ve cared for horses, goats, cows and chickens. (My family cared for orphaned and injured wildlife, and returned them to their natural habitat when/if appropriate.) Have a pet with anxiety? I have earned the trust of several “nervous” pet clients to build a strong relationship to work through issues they struggle with. Some of these families were unable to walk their dogs, but our connection enabled us to get out for daily walks to meet their exercise needs. Meeting their step and sniff quotas help them relax and be more comfortable so they could enjoy time with their families in their own homes even more! ***Ultra early care is one of my specialties! My availability for walks/drop ins begins at 6:00 AM. I'm happy to go the extra distance to help keep your pets on the schedule that works best for your household. I would love to help take care of your furry family members when life has you unable to. I offer walks and drop-in visits that are perfect when you are busy at work and can’t slip away for a mid-day potty break and exercise. (Have a dog that needs more than 30 minutes or an hour? Let’s chat!) I also offer over night care for when it is time for you to getaway! I only accept one family at a time for boarding services to avoid stressful situations for your babies and keep those tails wagging! I have separate areas in my oversized backyard to slowly introduce our overnight guests to my girls. I enthusiastically offer services for those pups that have a tendency to be rowdy, and will continue care using your training/potty training techniques. Consistency is key while developing a routine that works for your household, and I will strive to keep things moving along to meet your specifications. *•*SITTING REQUESTS *•* Overnight stays for sitting requests are very limited at this time. I am happy to fulfill the service with multiple visits throughout the day to provide everything your pets need and want, but will not be available to spend the night in your home in most cases.
