We are a homeschooling family who loves animals of all kinds and who can't wait to host your furry friend on our farm! Our home is situated on 17 acres full of empty pastures and wooded trails just waiting to be enjoyed. We have two kids, Sam (17) and Kendall (15) who are thrilled to entertain and exercise the variety of doggie guests who stay with us. Since they study here at home, we can plan our day around your dog's needs and be sure to include lots of ball-throwing and tummy-rubbing time. Most of our guests end up sleeping with the kids and snuggling with the whole family on the furniture (if it is ok with their parents, of course!) Plus, like most teens, Sam and Kendall love to text..so you can expect doggie updates and pics throughout the day! Our Aussie/Dachsund mix Shelby is small enough to make petite pooches feel safe, but big enough to enjoy playing with larger breed dogs. Rescue kitty, Sadie, retreats safely to our enclosed basement when we have a guest. We are not equipped to handle aggressive dogs, pups who aren't potty trained, dogs who habitually mark their territory or who chew things other than their toys! We prefer dogs who are well behaved enough to be alone in our home if we have an appointment or need to run an errand. While we live in a rural area, near Madison, we are only 30 minutes from Greensboro, High Point and Winston Salem and would be happy to meet you in one of these places to pick up or drop off your pup. We love to entertain "city" dogs and give them a taste of life in the country. We look forward to loving your dog like one of the Knight family!
