I will read their personality and temperament & get to know them, maybe start with gentle head scratches & sniffs. Or, if they feel comfortable & tell me "let's play", then I'm on the floor and throwing their favorite toy right away. Eris, is my current little moody, shy but sweet kitty companion at home. She's a 10 year old calico who plays & purrs like mad, demands water from the bathtub faucet, and makes me laugh daily. While I love all doggies too, cats just seem to fit my personality and lifestyle better.

A typical day
I will greet your cat and depending on their immediate needs (are they crying for attention, play time or really want their meal!) I will make them feel loved and cared for in accordance to your care instructions, then we will take some selfies and I will clean up before leaving. I know the kitties who love to play feather, or chase their favorite toys across the room, I will turn on kitty YouTube for them if allowed. Because they are left alone all day I try to pack the 30 minute visit full of kitty fun.

I love my job as designer for a staging company on Queen Anne. We have busy times and slow times so the flexibility in my schedule allows me to add cat visits to my days typically in the mornings and evenings.
