Pet care experience
I grew up around here with dogs, so I know lots of fun routes. I love to take long walks through Rock Creek Park (and have a car to get there). I'm also happy to take pictures of your dog when we're together -- glamour shots or on the go! I used to be a food photographer, but anyone who's seen my Instagram knows that my true photography-subject love is dogs. I have a very friendly Shih Tzu who loves to play with other dogs, no matter how big. I don't start work till 10 AM, so I have morning times and sometimes lunchtimes for walks in addition to evenings. I also know all the good dog parks :) My roommates and I are used to having dogs in the house: in addition to Anakin, we've fostered several dogs and dogsit for three of our neighbors. We're very dog-friendly, know how to act, and know how to work together for a consistent experience. I lost my first dog a few years back (it seems much more recent) -- at the age of 14. She was a very sweet and playful Australian Shepherd, but I learned a lot from her re: taking care of old dogs. Joint massages, injections, pills, special foods, you name it: I've probably experienced it.

Kiley was fantastic! She watched my dog, who has separation anxiety, while we were at a yoga class. Not only was she sweet and attentive, but genuinely cares about animals. Everything went well with her and Hank and I’ll certainly use her again in the future!
Kiley is an excellent and attentive dog sitter. She frequently watches our large, energetic dog Jasper (Rhodesian Ridgeback) and he loves spending time with her. Id happily recommend Kiley to dog sit for anyone.
Kiley provided excellent care for my senior dog. He needed help getting up to walk and often required some cleanup after going to the bathroom. I also found her to to be a reliable and patient caretaker for him.
Kiley passionately loves and respects dogs and has all of her life. She delights in really getting to know the different personality traits of each dog she meets/cares for, and understands how to adjust her behavior in order to bring out the best in each pup. She is incredibly responsible and nurturing, and as a longtime pet owner, older sibling, and environmentalist, she has an unstoppable maternal instinct to protect and care for all forms of life. Kiley is also a people-person, and would interact with any and all dog owners with ease and grace.

I can only accept dogs that will be fine with our Shih Tzu, Anakin. Despite his name, he's a very sweet dog, used to playing with dogs eight times his size, so that shouldn't be a factor! We have a small yard and are within walking distance to two great dog parks (one with a special section for little guys) so if dog parks are an option, that's great.

Favorite places to walk dogs: -Around the reservoir -Rock Creek Park (I used to work there!) -C&O Canal (if it's okay for me to drive them there)
