Flexible Dog Care
Pet care experience
I was inspired to become a pet sitter on Rover when I realized I already had plenty of experience caring for pups. I'm always willing to open my home to friends’ and family’s dogs. It is always a great experience and something I find extremely enjoyable. I also have a flexible schedule so it's a great fit for my lifestyle. I love dogs and grew up with dogs my whole life. We had a Pomeranian, a German Shepherd, an Alaskan Malamute, a Shih Tzu and a few mixed breeds along the way. As a pet sitter I’ve cared for dogs ranging from Labs, to Mastiffs, to Pit Bulls. I'm comfortable with dogs of all breeds. I always try to give my clients a great experience — humans and dogs alike. I always maintain owners’ routines and rules, but also go above and beyond. Whether it's bathing dirty dogs or letting a Mastiff sleep on half couch while he's getting his head rubbed, I do it. I also keep in communication with the humans and send pictures often. I think the best customer service is simply doing what you said you would do when you said you'd do it — and then doing a little extra. My family consists of me, my husband, my adult brother and my three kids soon to be four, ages ten, five and three. A constant part of our family is Koda, a three-year-old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix. My husband has had dogs his whole adult life and prefers big dogs because they are more active. My kids have experience with Koda, and they have a firm understanding of dog boundaries and appropriate play. Koda my brother’s dog, and lives with us three weeks out of the month while my brother travels for work. He's definitely a part of the family. Some of the things I enjoy are swimming in the summer, hiking in the fall, winter and spring. I also enjoy time with family, reading, ITunesU lectures and learning new things. I love exploring Vegas and going places I've never been before — whether it's a cool restaurant downtown or new model homes in the suburbs. I also like lazy days at home where I catch up on chores, have down time and spend quality time with my family. I would describe myself as dependable, loyal and strong. I'm dependable because if I say I'm going to do something, I do it. I don't commit to things I'm not willing to follow through on. I'm loyal because I choose to be. Whether it's loyalty to family, places with great service, products or people who are awesome, once I'm with you I stay with you. I'm strong because I'm a leader. I'm the oldest in my family and take pride in being able to handle almost anything that comes my way. I love my family, Victorian literature, all history, learning about space, campy action movies, classic rock, German street style, food and 80's hip hop. That's just a short list but I enjoy being me and I can't wait to meet you.
Reviews
We really appreciate that Max gets attention not just from Kiana but her whole family!
Great people and great fit for my dog. Such a relief to know he doesn't have to be boarded!!
Too great care of our Max. He is always in a very good mood after the stays. We like that he is treated as a member of their family.
He was treated like a member of their family; he returned to us very happy.

Information Kiana S. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know the following: • Favorite activities • Known commands • Likes/dislikes • Daily routine and feeding schedule • Walking style
A typical day
When I have a dog guest our day starts out with a few stretches followed by breakfast. Then the day consists of walks, playtime and family time. I do run errands during the day such as dropping/picking up kids from school, but I'm not gone for long. We are definitely an active family, which is great for engaging active dogs. Calm dogs are more than welcome to sleep or snuggle on the couch. In the late afternoon/ evening I like to have park time with my dog guests and my kids. Then it's dinner time, sleep, and a fresh start the next day. I love my neighborhood because it's quiet, peaceful and gives us space to run. I live near Lone Mountain so I'm right on the edge of town. I get all the perks of being in Vegas without any of the noise or congestion. I live in a gated community and the neighbors are very nice. The best part is the park with tons of grass just outside the gate.
