I am a 4th year medical student at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Being involved in healthcare I witnessed everyday the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the crucial impact compassionate care deliver causes. Pets are no different. They are part of the family and part of the healing process. Up until Medical School, I have always had animal pets including dogs, cats, and birds.
