My experience with dogs is far beyond the usual feed, bathe, walk and play. I make sure they know they are loved, assuring them they are apart of the family, and making sure they feel safe and have someone to connect with, just as one would do with their own birthed child or sibling. Respecting the home of the dog and its owner is a must, dogs must have a since of security and ease before letting anyone in their domain. That goes for putting items back in their rightful place, keeping the area clean as requested by the owner, as well as what the dog is familiar to. Being cautious not to detour from the routine both the dog and owner have set up.
