Understanding their personality is very very important. Both my cat and dog are very social but they are still smaller animals so understanding ahead of time your pets needs will prepare me to provide them either the separation and space they want, or the companionship they need!

Working from home with a flexible schedule lends me a lot of freedom. It allows daily walks on the sidewalk in our neighborhood, playtime in the backyard or inside the house and cuddles and pets non-stop during the day! My dog is crate trained so if we need to go out briefly, he is happy to hop in his crate with a bone and relax until we return.
