Pet care experience
New to Rover, but I have years of experience with caring for dogs. I can’t wait to meet yours! I grew up with dogs, big and small, so taking care of them has been a part of my life ever since I was young. A few years ago, I decided to raise a German Shepherd puppy on my own and he quickly became my best friend. This gave me first-hand experience on what it takes to train, nurture, and provide for a puppy well into adulthood. From stimulating enrichment to administering medication, there isn't much that I haven't done when it comes to proper dog care. When he unexpectedly passed away this past fall, I have been wanting to become a sitter as a way to continue providing a loving home for dogs as it lights up my day. As a previous Rover customer turned provider, I know exactly what kind of experience to provide for pet owners and I am eager to spend time with your furry friends. I have a WFH schedule to ensure I’m keeping an eye on your pet, a fenced yard for tons of exercise, and a firm understanding of how handle all types of personalities.

Kevin is an excellent sitter! He was a great communicator and sent terrific pictures. He took Ollie on lots of walks and play sessions. Ollie came back very happy. Highly recommend and would use again!!
Our Sunny had a wonderful weekend stay with Kevin. Came home in good spirits and it was clear she had fun while away from us. She slept well, got to take walks, play in the backyard, and we got pictures!. Thank you so much Kevin, we will definitely rebook when the time comes.

My home has a fenced yard that offers quick outdoor access along with plenty of space to play. As I am used to having a dog in the home, you can rest assured that they will be safe under my care. Whatever care instructions you provide will be followed and I will be sure to ask any questions before their stay begins. This will hopefully keep your mind at ease and ensure that your pet is comfortable in my home. I always loved receiving pictures and regular updates from my Rover sitters, so I will certainly do the same for you! There are two older cats that share our home, but they are dog-friendly and tend to keep to themselves. When watching other pets, I will always set a barrier between the cats and the the rest of the house to prevent any potential issues.

I would love to know as much as you're willing to share about your best friend. At a minimum, I would prefer that you share their typical daily routine (feeding, exercise, etc.), what they are fed, and any behavioral traits to be aware of. This will help me let your pet feel like they are at home while you are away.
A typical day
We will have plenty of time in my backyard where we can play with balls, frisbees, or whatever their favorite toy might be. I live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood, so daily walks will also be a part of their stay with me. If your furry friend is here over a weekend, we may go out for a hike or stop by a brewery for some extra outdoor time (with your approval, of course). On the flip side, if your dog is a little low energy, I can just keep them company on the couch.

Availability
I currently have a flexible, work from home schedule so your dog can be a top priority! With the occasional errand here and there, your best friend will never be left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time. If your pet requires a certain level of attention, I can be more than happy to accommodate. My accommodating schedule also means that I will always be within reach if you need. I know from personal experience how important it is to be able to get ahold of your sitter, so you can expect fast responses with my phone never too far out of reach.
