For the past 15 years I have had the same family of dogs (grandma, ma, and now daughter), all shorkies (shitzu/yorkie). They go everywhere with me (and I have traveled a lot). I don’t have kids, so dogs are as close as I’ll get, and I definitely ‘baby’ mine. We’re a “dog family” as my girlfriend is training to be a dog groomer, so we get in lots of practice on our pups and our friends dogs. At my home in Brooklyn I have an upstairs and downstairs for the dogs to roam between, outside is a fenced in backyard, and there’s a large park (highland park) about 4 blocks away I take my girls on daily walks to.
