Pet care experience
My wife and I love all animals. We are primarily experienced with dogs, but have cared for many cats -- and a guinea pig in New Zealand. Tricia and I have had seven dogs over the years and I took an animal communication course several years ago. Please see "Nani Means Beautiful" and "Love and the Mountain Mutt" at the Captain Coherence Substack.
Reviews
Absolutely amazing humans watched my little Mardy while I was at work. They are kind, compassionate, communicative, and very attentive folks. If I ever need a sitter in Boulder, they will be the first folks I reach out to
After getting Kubo back from his away stay with Kevin and Tricia, he is absolutely pooped! I can tell how much love he was given and how much fun he had. Their space for Kubo to run around was really nice, and Kubo was also treated to several mornings at Dry Creek. Looking forward to booking Kevin and Tricia again in the future!!
Kevin and Trish are amazing. Their yard is huge and fenced, and they also do big morning hikes. They let the dogs sleep with them and you can tell they care so much for these animals. He sent videos and pictures daily and I was 100% confident on my vacation knowing Gemma was being well taken care of and loved!
Great house sitter!

We live on property that was once a doggy daycare. The main yard is not fenced, but we can put dogs or other animals in large, separate fenced areas. Most of the time, however, we prefer to exercise dogs on Boulder Open Space. We just raised our rates a scosh to offset treat expenses -- marrow bones, mostly. Dogs need to chew, especially when Mom and Dad are away. It takes the edge off.

Information Kevin M. would like to know about your pet
No worries -- we've seen about everything. Just be clear about how the dog is with other pets and people. Also, let us know if the animal doesn't like to be touched. And perhaps whether a midnight walk or something is necessary. Also, pick-up and drop-off times are important to know, so we can manage animals. PLEASE PROVIDE ETAs if possible. Finally, if you have something for your dog to chew, please bring that. Chewing helps manage anxiety while owners are gone. Thanks.
A typical day
Tricia and I hit the trail early every morning, returning around 9. Dogs go with us on any errands. Another major walk around noon, and again around 5. Dogs can be in fenced enclosures with us when not in the house. We always make sure dogs have the opportunity to pee before bed.

Availability
I am home writing most of the time. We had to say goodbye to our dog a couple of months ago, so would welcome regular breaks with a dog.
