I have provided care for my own Shepherd Mix - "Clancy" my Cockateil Eamon, who both lived a good, long life and are sorely missed, a West Highland White Terrier (Westie), and most recently a Cocker Spaniel named "Paco". Paco was very loveable, but had a history impusivity (pulling on leash) and barking while riding in the car. I could see that the owner was away from home a lot. I implemented a training component into my daily walks with Paco. Within about two weeks Paco was obeying verbal commands to "stop" when pulling on the leash, and had become happier and easier to control by his owner.
