Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal caretaker in a volunteer capacity, professionally and as a favor to friends and family. I have experience with a variety of ages, needs and temperaments especially animals with anxiety. I feel comfortable administering most medications. I have been a dog owner (miniature poodle) for most of my life which has provided me with necessary skill set. My experience working in a nature center and volunteering on farms aids in my ability to handle non traditional pets such as: reptiles, amphibians, horses and small mammals. The only animals I would say I have limited experience with is fish and birds (tho I’m always willing to learn)!

The pups were well taken care of! They got lots of walks and snuggles. Kerry is very reliable and my pups, sometimes a bit shy, loved her. Thanks Kerry!
Kerry was very attentive to our high energy pup and gave us cute pictures and videos of him throughout their time together. She communicated well with us and was very accommodating and reliable. Will definitely be rebooking if the need arises!
Kerry is an excellent sitter. I feel confident leaving my two pups in her care. One of my dogs is very skittish around people but loves Kerry and she is amazing with him!
Kerry provided house/cat sitting services for us for a five-night trip. She was wonderful, and spent time trying to win over our very frightened (former feral) kitty. We were so surprised that she was able to pet her within the first 2 days, which has never happened before with any of our other cat sitters. Kerry took great care of both our kitty and our house. She took care to make sure everything was clean and tidy for us when we got home, which was greatly appreciated. I hope to be able to use her again for our future travels. She is a real gem!

It would be great to have a heads-up on the quirks and temperaments of each animal. I unfortunately don’t have the capacity to deal with animals that aren’t housebroken, in heat and/or aggressive animals. Having info on any medical conditions and illnesses to be aware of is also pertinent. This includes vet information and/or an emergency contact if needed. Please always leave some form of written instructions for house and pet basics!!
A typical day
I enjoy going on adventures with dogs and welcome opportunities to explore new trails and areas! I also enjoy a mean game of tug-of-war or frisbee!!

Availability
I work/study almost entirely remotely so my schedule is very flexible to accommodate the needs of pet maintenance and well-being. I want to ensure that I keep with your pets normal routine! I can do dog walks up to 5 times a day (please note -if more than 2 long walks a day or more than an hour of exercise is needed, I apply my dog walking fee on top of my housesitting rate). I have availability to care for around 5 animals at time. If the pets can’t be alone for less than 2 hours i.e. constant care, my base rate is double.
