I know how stressful it can be leaving family under the care of a stranger, because I go through it too. I try to make everyone as comfortable and worry-free as possible. I communicate constantly - when I plan to visit your pet, if I will be any earlier or later, and send a LOT of photos and videos when I am with them. I actually started working through Rover as a way to mitigate seasonal depression. Knowing a pet is depending on me for love and care can be the best motivator to get up and leave my home. This work is extremely meaningful to me, and that will likely shine through when I am caring for your cat, dog, or any kind of pet. . *NOTE* I do not stay overnight when I house-sit, so if that is important to you, we may not be a good match. I can come by for walks as early as 7am and as late as 11pm.

I am really great with shy and anxious animals - I can usually get them to trust me within a couple of days even if they are very scared at first. I don’t refill water without washing it. Same with food dishes. I want to treat your pet like royalty when I am there, because they deserve it! I’m a high energy person and if your dog needs to jog I can do that; if you have an older or lazier pup that just wants to stroll, I will take them on a nice long relaxing walk.

I love all dogs! I can handle high-energy dogs, and those who may be older and slower. Big doggos are my favorite - rescue Pitt bulls, mastiffs, labs, German shepherd mixes…
A typical day
We can walk around wherever you like. I love to be outside. Happy to play fetch, or tug-of-war with your pup. I will always play with cats because I know they need a lot of stimulation or they get bored and destructive. I can even bring my own cat nip :-)

Availability
I have a 9-5 (ish) office job in Midtown, but I can be flexible with the days I choose to work from home. I’d love to be your back up if your regular dog sitter can’t get there for a lunchtime walk, or your kitty just needs some love and attention for a bit during the day.
