I've been a dog owner since I was 6 years old and have grown up with an appreciation of man's, and woman's best friend that puts them in the same category as family. From collecting strays as a child, to sitting for friends, family and neighbors; dogs are my favorite company, except for my daughter, of course.

Kerry is super friendly, and obviously really cares for not only his pup, but all of his guests as well. Max seemed to really enjoy his stay. I’ll definitely rebook with Kerry if I ever need a place for Max to stay again!

I have a fenced in front porch area for the people watching type, as well as a decent sized fully enclosed back yard for the more private type. My sister and I live together, as well as my partner Fortino, and are all equally fond of our K9 companions. Plenty of space in the house, including a "dog room" with plenty of food, toys, dog beds(large and small) and even a TV that shows animal planet when they just want to hang out. Our neighbors are almost all dog owners, plenty of dog parks in the area, etc.... It really is an ideal situation for this type of work, which is why I decided to get into it. Our dog Hugo is 3, has all of his shots, house trained, and super friendly with people and other dogs. We don't do crates in this house, so everyone just roams around and hangs out with each other. We encourage Hugo with dog treats, but every now and then he may get a piece of our food or a huge bone that Fortino brings from work. (He's a banquet chef, so sometimes there are some pretty incredible leftovers)

I don't have any breed preference, but getting along with other dogs and people is essential due to the number of dogs in the neighborhood.
A typical day
We play a lot of fetch, go on long walks around the garden district and visit multiple dog parks within reasonable walking distance to our house. Dogs love sitting on my gated front porch and watching the city go by, as well as the variety of other dogs in the neighborhood. The house around the corner has chickens running around; dogs seem to be fascinated by them. There's plenty of space for naps, and plenty of space for play. It's a great place for dogs to hangout and relax.

Availability
I'm currently working from home and make my own schedule, so I'm available any time of the day, with reasonable notice. I'm looking to get some regular sitting jobs, walking jobs, and even looking for playdates for my dog Hugo. We go to the dog park frequently and I'm sure he would love to have some company.
