The Trailer Bark!

Pet care experience

When I first started Rover back in 2016, I lived in a small singlewide trailer in the middle of Cary NC. I needed some extra cash, so I signed myself up as a sitter. Thus “The Trailer Bark” was born. I have taken a hiatus for the past couple of years to devote my extra time to house hunting. I am ecstatic and blessed to say my husband and I found a small home on 4 acres, just 30mins from the RTP. So we packed our little trailer up, along with our five (yes FIVE) dogs and moved out to the country. From the moment we moved in, we added new furry (and feathered) members to our family. We still have our five precious pups, and we’ve added 3 cats (Mia, Cheeto, and Bobby McGee), multiple chickens, two “skinny” pigs, and a goat (Loretta Lynn) to our little farm. We also have an established Rabbitry on the farm as well and we specialize in raising pure and ethically bred Netherland Dwarf Rabbits. We will continue to add to our farm and we just know your pup will love it out here. Our hope and dream is to one day open our farm to the public. Kerri has a green thumb and a love for growing organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables and we will have eggs for sale in the future as well. We live off-road, so no worries about traffic or potential accidents. I’m sure you can already tell, but my husband and I have a passion for animals. We will treat your pet as our own and take every precaution needed to give them the best experience. My husband and I do work full time hours but are on different schedules. So one of us is home multiple times throughout the day everyday. On the weekends I am home the entire time unless I have to run a quick errand. When I am not home, I would prefer to crate your pup as part of my extra precautions that I take. It is always best to be safer than sorry, and even though all of my pups are very well behaved, I feel it best and smartest to keep everyone separated when I am not there to supervise. Our dogs are our family but they are still animals. I hope you understand! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for entrusting us with your furry family member(s).

Once again Kerri is great. She provides daily updates and will address any requests such as giving our dog a bath before pick up. I highly rcommend her to any dog lover.

Kerri was fantastic! She promptly responds to messages and accommodated all my requests, such as sending pictures of the dogs playing, providing daily updates and bathing him before pick up. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog with Kerri. She treats my dog as if he was one of her own, and I highly recommend her and would use her again.

Kerri was very quick to respond and coordination was a breeze. She even met us in the middle of a thunderstorm to pick up our dog close to her home. I'd definitely utilize her services again.

Kerri was very easy to get a hold of with setting up my pup's stay. She was able to work with my schedule and was up front about what to expect with the stay. I felt comfortable with her and my pup enjoyed the stay. My only negative point is that I didn't receive any updates when I had requested them and was told I'd receive them. I understand that this can slip people's mind and I felt my pup came home tired from a busy day.

No breed preferences but prefer dogs under 40lbs and ok with being crated or confined to one space when I am not home to supervise. Must get along with other dogs and people. Males must be altered. Humans must be trustworthy!

A typical day

Walks outside on our small 4 acre micro farm, lots of belly rubs, plenty of toys and treats if allowed. Maybe even a puppocino? We can have bath time if needed, and even a Gator ride if your pup loves to “go for a ride”!
