NOTE: Over the holidays, I will be taking on more boarders than usual, so it is extra important that your dog is comfortable around other dogs, and that you are comfortable with this, as well. Thanks! :) My home is casual and pet-friendly. I have two teen-aged children, four cats, and one very small (3 lbs.) dog. Though I am not in the habit of requiring dogs to remain outside--even big dogs--my backyard is certainly equipped for those who enjoy spending time outdoors; it is fully-fenced and secure enough that my little 3 lb. dog can't escape, with a shade tree and a covered porch. I am an animal-lover and have owned pets--primarily cats and dogs--my whole life. I have a generally laid-back attitude and believe in training through positive reinforcement and providing enough constructive stimulation to deter negative behaviors; regarding potty-training, most accidents can be avoided simply by providing plenty of opportunities to go out. I welcome all sizes and breeds (no breed-discrimination). My only contingency is your dog's disposition: it must be friendly and socialized; comfortable around other dogs, cats, and children; and with a history free of any aggressive behaviors. If your dog has any idiosyncrasies, please make me aware of them! Though I do not discriminate by breed or size, for obvious reasons, I will be more tolerant of sensitive temperaments in small dogs than in larger dogs.
