I have owned pets of all kinds my entire life. I have always loved animals. I’ve worked professionally in the dog industry for over 8 years. I currently work at a dog resort that does doggie daycare and boarding and during my spare time I like to pet sit. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many pooches through my experiences. I’ve worked with every kind of dog from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Little baby puppies to loving seniors with special needs. I currently have 2 cats at home. I have been a pet sitter for friends and family my whole life. I just love taking care of animals!

Kerri is the absolute best. My family was out of the country on a cruise when the house lost power. But she was such a trooper and it was so reassuring to know she was there taking care of our pets. She made the trip relaxing because we knew we could count on her!
I would 10/10 book Kerri again to watch my cat Franklin. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day and came over prior to meet Frank as well. Highly recommend Kerri if you need an animal sitter ?

Kerri is absolutely wonderful! She has worked at doggy daycares for years and has tons of experience with all different types of dogs. We met Kerri years ago while she was working at a nearby doggy daycare. Our dog loved her so much that she really became the primary reason we took our dog there. We are so happy to find that she is now on Rover. I cannot stress this enough…. When caring for pets in the home, always make sure that they have access to water and frequent potty breaks for dogs and clean litter for cats. Keep an eye out for anything that they could get into like trash, kid’s toys on the floor, human food etc. Feeding at scheduled times and treats in between if allowed. In general make sure they are getting attention and exercise. That they are happy and loved. Make sure they are eating, drinking water, going potty normal and taking medication if needed. And definitely give kisses, belly rubs and butt scratches!

Knowing the dogs personality is important. Are they shy or anxious about things or are they just super excited and friendly with everyone. Any allergies or health issues are also very important. Also, how they interact with other dogs. Knowing the dogs personality, likes and dislikes helps me to build a bond with them so we can become best friends and I can make them have the best time while they’re in my care.
A typical day
We can do all kinds of things from belly rubs to walks in the park, rides in the car, learn new tricks. Every dog has different needs so I’m able to cater to their specific play styles. Some dogs love to just walk and smell the smells and some like to go to the park and explore or play fetch. And some just like a nice leisurely walk around the block. Whatever makes the dog happy!

I have flexibility in my schedule, so I’m available to help my friends or family take care of their animals if they need help. I have taken pets to the vet. Walked them or if needed watched them in my home. I provide help with whatever they might need. My 2 cats are easygoing and are very friendly. I have always owned pets, so it is just a normal part of my life.
