Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, cats and reptiles as family pets. As a teenager, I adopted a Chihuahua named Chacho who was my constant companion for 15 years. My "dog-mom" status as a young adult made me to go-to petter sitter for friends and family. I lost Chacho last year and I am looking to use my pet skills to spend some quality time with new furry friends.

Kerisha did a wonderful job looking after our dog, who is an older cocker spaniel. She followed all of our instructions and she communicated regularly as to how he was managing without his owners, who have been by his side for 15 years. She was compassionate, caring, and more than met our expectations. I would recommend her highly and would be our first choice in the future if we needed a helper.
Kerisha took great care of my two pups over a four day weekend. One of them has a bit of separation anxiety but on my return they were happy and relaxed. They had all their walks and plenty of cuddles, she sent pictures. Also, my home was clean and tidy with the dishes done and trash taken out. I would absolutely ask for her doggy sitting skills again!

I will definitely need to know about and how I can best support any medical needs for any pet I am caring for. Beyond medical needs, any training commands the pups uses for I can praise and reward good behavior. Finally, I will need to know pets behave around other animals both on and off the leash so I can prioritize safety and fun during our walks.
A typical day
On a typical day, will likely start any visit with some time outside if possible. Usually that means a nice walk between 20 minutes to an hour depending on the needs. I will scout out any off road trails, parks or walking paths for plenty of good sniffs. For smaller or more senior dogs that can also look like a bit of race and chase in the yard or a leisure stroll around the block. After a walk, I will clean paws, give treats and settle down for some pets and cuddles. I am also happy to do a few minutes of training reinforcement if needed.

Availability
I am currently writing my PhD thesis in a remote work format which means my weekday schedule is very flexible. As a life long pet owner, I also require daily walks and plenty of play breaks through out the day!
