Pet care experience
I am a UGA grad and veterinary assistant. I have also raised three puppies for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. One pup is in formal training in Atlanta, the other is an adopted pet in North Carolina, and the third is a full-fledged guide dog in California. That being said the care I provide your pet will be an engaging and enriching experience for both your pet and I. I am pretty flexible when it comes to pet types, sizes, and any special needs they may require. I have worked in veterinarian clinics for the past 7 years and have handled animals from all walks of life. I own a 13Y Maltese who has practically grown up with me. I have experience pet sitting in the owners home as well as walking dogs for other people. I have lots of shelter experience. My availability is flexible but varies as I do work full-time in a clinic.

Keona has volunteered the Humane Society for several years through events, walking the dogs, and other activities planned through the organization. She also has her own dog and has worked well with animals. She is also aiming to be a future vet.

Although I have a dog, he will be crated/in another room if I am boarding/providing care in my home. I have a large, unfenced yard and a 10 foot leash. If providing care in your home I can follow whatever instructions left for me regarding your pet’s care.

A typical day
We will go on walks around my neighborhood and I would not mind going to a nearby park. Fetch is always fun and so are nature walks. I can also reinforce training, or provide light grooming if needed.

Availability
I work full time at a vet clinic. I know my schedule six weeks in advance. On the days I work, I either go in at 8am or 2pm, so I’m open to drop-ins/walks before those times. I’m usually off between 2pm and 630pm. I work some weekends, but not all.
