Pet care experience
After the loss of our 2 beautiful cats and dog (Dachshund) 3 years ago we finally decided it was time to adopt, so we adopted 2 little ones from the Dakin Shelter in Springfield, MA. We were fortunate to find a brand new litter that came in the day before. Ganzer the black male kitty came right to me purring his little heart out and Polly the gray tabby came right to us as well. No mystery here, they are both coming home with us. When we had to say goodbye to our previous 3 kids, all within 4 months of each other; our vet had told us to "let your next pets find you, that's when you'll know you are ready". She was right! So now we are the proud parents of 2 beautiful kids to brighten every moment of our day. Their playfulness and love for each other is just amazing. They constantly follow each other and us around with each step we make. What joy! Neighbors dogs come over to visit us all the time, because we have those great healthy treats waiting for them. Like some of my homemade chicken jerky from the dehydrator and locally baked preservative-free doggie treats. I've been an RN for 40 years - caring is in my genes. I have known Ken for many years. He has watched my dogs on many occasions and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend him for your services.
My two dogs Frosty and Jasper if they were still here and had not crossed the rainbow bridge would say he is the greatest! When my husband I would need someone to watch our two boys he would do that. They loved to go and see him. He was their uncle. All I had to say was we are going to visit with Uncle Ken and they would run to the door so they could hop into the car and be on our way. When he would come over with his dog (the latest was Sampson (Sam)) my boys would greet Uncle Ken and Sam with lots of wags and kisses. Frosty was an American Eskimo and was a little more reserved with people but oh my he loved Uncle Ken! Frosty had to take medicine for seizures and when Frosty vacationed with Uncle Ken Frosty was always given his medicine. After we moved down to Florida Uncle Ken came and visited us, Jasper who was a Glenn of Immal would hit the bedroom door with his head and push it open so he could jump onto the bed and wake him with tons of doggy kisses. I have never seen Ken angry with any animal. If I lived closer I would ask him without any reservation to doggy sit my current dog.
I have known Ken for 19 years and continue to be amazed how animals take to him so easily. Sampson, the Dachshund I got to meet and fall in love with was just the sweetest dog you could ever want to meet. I wonder who spoiled him, hmmm? Ken also had his own doggie treats business back in the late 90's early 2000's and customers could not get enough of them. I owned a cat (Polo) who took to Ken right away and he as a matter of fact adopted Ken as his new parent (boo hoo hoo for me). Then Sam and Polo became the best friends ever chasing and playing with each other constantly, after all my sister named Polo the "cat-dog" because of his dog like personality, so they remained friends until 2017, when they both passed away at 18 + 19 years old, very sad. Anyhow, you are guaranteed TLC with Ken's warm heart towards all animals, you won't be disappointed. Give him a call
