Highly experienced, patient & kind

Pet care experience

I am a stay at home mom, but my 2 legged kid is in school all day now. I’d love to spend my free time caring for and playing with animals. I have a lot of patience and common sense. I am very passionate about people treating their pets as family. I have a lengthy history in management at some of the more upscale boarding, grooming, and daycare facilities around Houston as well as vet tech experience in a veterinarian clinic. I have a lot of experience with “hard” cases in difficult rescue pets, aggressive pets, scared pets, or overly “enthusiastic” ones. I have training in pet emergency situations and am very comfortable administering medications (even to the most hard to pill pet). I am also experienced with medications that need to be injected. I’ve had cats and dogs (even ducks) my entire life. My family currently has 2 dogs, a cat, a leopard gecko, and beta fish. My big, sweet baby is 110 pounds and the nicest soul ever. My little, possibly part Tasmanian devil is 11 pounds. I am happy to care for big dogs, little dogs, cats, nice pets, mean pets, hyper pets, scared pets, scaly pets, or any type of pet... There isn’t a pet I am afraid of.

Kenna was amazing with my dogs!! I have one dog that is a little shy around strangers, but she did awesome with him and by the end of the week they were BFFs! :) I am always nervous to leave my dogs with just anyone as they are my babies, but I felt so comfortable leaving them with Kenna after our couple of meet and greets. I loved all the pictures she sent and all of the updates! It made it easier for me to leave them knowing they were being so well taken care of! Whenever I go out of town and need someone to watch my two boys Kenna will definitely be the person I call! Thanks again Kenna for taking such good care of my babies! :)

Highly recommend Kennnalyn and her daughter! They have quickly become great friends with us “adults” and the “fur babies” as she calls them, they love her. When we return home our babies are as happy as when we left. That is huge. She pays attention to details. She reads and follows the information that you take the time to provide. She sends updates. Kennalyn is a joy to work with and her daughter is an added bonus. She is already a fabulous and compassionate care giver as well.

I seriously like all types of pets. Really, I am not shy. I’d like to know if your pet is scared/aggressive/hyper beforehand only so I can be prepared to give them what they need immediately upon interaction. There are no behaviors I won’t at least give my all to care for.

A typical day

I love to explore, so walks with your dogs around their neighborhood sounds fun! I am a solid cuddler of all pets if that’s what they want too. I enjoy playing fetch, tug-o-war, or even just being crazy with them. I have lots of experience with pet playtimes and am very familiar with navigating pet led playtimes.
