I am retired with decades of animal experience (pet/guard dog/police dog/service animal/livestock). I have a climate controlled home and fenced yard. I am home all the time and your animal will not be left unattended. I prefer older animals and have extensive experience with geriatric animals. My home has only 3 steps to get in and out, making it easier for old dogs with painful joints. We do have a cat in the house, however, due to a cat allergy she is confined to the downstairs living areas. All dogs are kept on main floor only. I recently lost my geriatrics dog at 18 years old and adopted a medium sized girl from the pound. She is very friendly and misses having another dog in the house.
