Vet Tech turned Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
I’m a stay at home mom to a cat and kid whose family dog passed from cancer after a long fight a year ago. My past experience includes being the lead vet tech for a vet hospital in NC and a vet tech for Louisville Metro Animal Services. I’m comfortable with special needs including senior dogs, as well as, puppies still learning the ropes. I enjoy an early and busy schedule especially during this Covid world where getting out and moving is less common. Walks are what keeps my world moving so I have no problem accommodating small bladders. My household tends to be outside as much as possible when the weather allows. My child has grown up in a vet hospital and is uniquely good with understanding limits and need for flexibility when being around different dogs. Our cat believes he is a dog in species and tends to see dogs as more their style than cats. No doggo is too young or too old for me love and enjoy while in my care.

I found Kendra through her husband because I was needing someone to keep my dog Lucky who has crazy separation anxiety for 5 straight days a week for 2 months due to my military career. His first day she messaged me to let me know she thought he had an ear infection because he was shaking his head. She monitored it over night and I took him to his vet that next day. Sure enough he had one and was put on two different medications. She treated him for me and continued watching him for the remainder of the two months. I’m so lucky to have found her and Lucky absolutely loves her. If I ever need a sitter she is my first call.
Our family loves Kendra! We have two French bulldogs that can be a handful for some but she just absorbs their energy. They love that she will walk them all around our neighborhood with all the patience they need to sniff every blade of grass along the way and willing to constantly untangle them when they get excited.
Calvin is so large that most people are apprehensive when approaching him most less considering watch him, but Kendra took right to him on the first day. She understood his needs with being an extra large guy and made sure he was always comfortable. She didn’t mind his drool and even snuggled with him while we were away to ease his separation anxiety. She was exactly what we were looking for in someone we could depend on.
Our frenchie used to get into some mischief while we were at work so we used to have Kendra come by if he was going to be left at home for longer than we anticipated. She was great with last minute visits and always made sure to run some energy out of him just in case. He absolutely loves her and we have come to think of her as family. We love that she has plenty of experience and a veterinary background for those just in case times. She even came to the animal hospital to visit after we had an accident at home.
