Pet care experience
We are a dog loving family who would love to now share our love with your dog! I come from an extended family of dog lovers - we always had dogs growing up, my parents have three dogs now and my sister has ten! We recently lost our beloved boxer and miss the long walks with her, the cuddles and the joy. We live close to Union Square so are happy to make frequent visits to the dog park there or to go as far afield as your dog wants. If your dog is happy in a car, we are used to going up to Central Park and taking extended walks there too after school drop off. We are a family of four, with two teenage children - both who will happily have a dog snuggle with them at night if bed sleeping is a thing for your dog. We have some experience administering medicines as our dog needed them towards the end so happy to do that too if it’s necessary.

Kendra and her family took great care of our 12 year old pit-bull terrier, Smitty, while away for a long weekend. The pick up and drop off went very smoothly and she stayed in touch throughout the wknd with updates and pics. It was my first time booking with Kendra and I would definitely book with her again in the future. Smitty even stood outside her building for a minute looking around to see where they went after I picked him up. And he was all tuckered out when we got home so I know he got lots of play time and attention. Thank you again for everything!
I’ve known Kendra for 15+ years. She grew up with many dogs so she can easily read a dog and has a natural ability with them. She has taken care of my dog many times. I can say with confidence that she is super responsible and caring. She pays particular attention to any of their special needs, be it exercise, medicines, or diet. My dog, who recently passed away, was always excited to see Kendra and spend time with her.
Kendra is a true dog lover. I have been lucky enough to have her as a neighbor and she has often kindly taken care of my three dogs while I was away. She gives them so much attention and love, and the dogs are always so happy to see her. I have no hesitation recommending her as a dog sitter and I know I will be coming back for her help again in the future.

Please let me know anything you think will be useful in making sure your dog is comfortable and happy in our home, including usual schedules for eating and potty breaks. Please let me know if your dog has any triggers (our dog always went for huskies!) and anything they particularly love doing. Please also let me know if you and they are comfortable in a car - if so, I can take your dog to Central Park when I drop off my kids at school.
A typical day
While we are in an apartment, there is plenty of space to play doggy games - find the treat and chase the ball where my dogs favorites. We are also steps from Union Square where there is newly renovated dog park, a farmers market to explore (dog treats are liberally given out there!), and lots of people watching to do. And beyond that, I love to walk and explore so can take your dog as far as they are willing to walk!
