Vet Science major and animal lover

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of many dogs in my lifetime and two as of right now. I’m known for having an all-gentle approach to any animal. Any special directions given will be followed thoroughly. I’m a very hands-on caregiver and make sure your animal gets great exercise under my care. As you can see in my gallery, I have a great experience with not only dogs and cats but horses as well. I like to think that I am a well-rounded animal caretaker. I have five dogs back in California that I love and adore. If you have multiple dogs that need to be checked on, I am very comfortable and used to providing care for up to five dogs at a time. During my pet care experience, I am comfortable giving your animal medication via pills but I am not comfortable with administering intravenous shots to your pet. I worked at a dog training facility as a trainer and volunteered at a no-kill shelter by routinely walking dogs. I am very good at de-escalating stressful situations if they arise from my experience working at these two facilities.

Kendall worked for a positive reinforcement dog board and train facility, volunteered for a positive reinforcement service dog organization, and an ethical golden retriever breeder, as well as on a small farm with chickens and goats. She has experience with all kinds of animals, is dedicated to the best care for them, gives them lots of love, all her attention, and she is very knowledgeable about any potential illnesses they may have and what signs to look out for, medications they may need and how to administer them, and how to make their experiences fun and positive! You and your animals won’t be disappointed if you choose Kendall!

Safety, trust & environment

When dog walking I do not take dogs to dog parks because of the potential dangers that come with unleashed dogs. Your dog's safety is my priority. I would enjoy taking dogs to the lake, on a hike, or to the Clemson campus, it can be fun for them to break out of the routine routes, however, you know your dogs better than I do. I am a very observant caregiver and will pick up on any abnormalities your pet may be showing and will notify owners right away. If your dog needs to be taken or picked up anywhere, I do have a pet-friendly seat cover in the backseat of my car and am comfortable transporting them if they are good with car rides. When pet sitting I would like to be aware of how well potty trained your dog is and how long it normally takes for them to need to go again after the last potty break,

Information Kendall T. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know of any medications your dog may need and instructions for how to give them medication. I know some owners can just give their dogs a pill, but if they are like mine, they are smart and need a treat to disguise it. I would also like to know if they have any impairments such as deafness or blindness. It is crucial for me to know how your pet reacts with other animals so that I can act in the best interest of the safety of the pet.

A typical day

My favorite activity is exercise. I love walking or jogging dogs around town and getting them fresh air. My dogs at home roam free and get tons of exercise and all of them have lived far past their average lifespan so exercising your dog is very important to me. I also think stimulating their mind with fun games in the backyard is a good cool-down method, and of course, pets and pats towards the end of the visit. I am a tad bit new to the area so if you have any routes you know your dog enjoys let me know and the same for areas you would like me to avoid. Because I am a freshman student at Clemson, I am living in the dorms and will not be able to board pets. After every visit, it is my philosophy to leave any home cleaner than you found it. When pet sitting, I do need to attend my classes during the week and may need to leave the house once or twice a day for 1 hr- 2 hr increments depending on the day. I am willing to water/take care of your plants, bring in mail, or do other small tasks. Any dishes I use, I will clean, dry, put away, and leave the sink spotless. I will take out any trash left at the end of the visit so the house smells fresh and clean when you arrive. Let me know if you need me to take garbage cans to the street on trash days. And of course, I will make the bed I sleep in and fluff up couches, chairs, pillows, etc. When pet sitting I pride myself in taking care of your dog as well as your home.
