I love learning and understanding dog behavior. I enjoy seeing the emotions dogs convey in their own way, their reactions to stimuli and the way they interact in a new environment. All dogs *must* be housebroken. All dogs will not be allowed to sleep upstairs with us. That is reserved solely for my pup so he has a safe space all his own. With that being said- any dogs with severe separation anxiety or inability to sleep alone on a couch with tv on at night time- probably won’t be a good fit. Prior to booking I’ll always let you know what it will be like for them so you are able to not just see if I think it’s a good fit- but also make sure you feel comfortable as well. I would love learning a little bit about your dog by chatting with you prior so I know what are their strengths, what behaviors you may want me to help train and what makes them comfortable. I conduct meet and greets outside the front of my home. I keep them outside to prevent territory issues with my pup or any other clients I may have. I also do this so that once your dog stays with me, they aren’t used to you being here, making it less traumatic when you leave. I found over the years this works the absolute best to get your pup feelings right at home quicker than if you were to drop them off inside. All dogs MUST get along with ALL types of other dogs. Big/small, playful and non. We typically have a laid back energy here so dogs that can roll with that fit in best! Drop off and pick up times are between 8am-7pm. Minor exceptions can be made, but as this is our home, it helps to not have stays run to late into the next day. Late pick ups or earlier drop off could result in adjusting rate. I would also love to know anything else you would want me to know! **One final word- If you see my calendar is marked booked during dates you would like us to sit for you, just send me a message and we can see what we can work out! Typically, I watch multiple at a time so I will block off just to alert potential owners that there may be another dog also staying with us. From there, I will advise on whether or not I think it will still be a good fit. Fun fact- all of the dogs we have watched have all gotten along great! We have gates and accommodations for those dogs who love to play but need a break from others also. :)

I currently have a large fenced in backyard that your dog will thoroughly be able to enjoy! There is enough space to run, sunbath, or take a dip in the kiddie pool that will be set up for them in summer time. I am currently doing this as a full time job which means I am able to offer around the clock care and love to your pup! I am confident with dogs and their unique behavior and quirks and would quickly adjust accordingly to your dog's needs. My dog is extremely good at adjusting his play level according to other dogs. He has no aggression and loves to play! He also really enjoys cuddling up with some Netflix though too! While watching your dog, I am very active. Cody and I love going for long walks, hikes, and playing at the dog park! Like I said though, if your dog is older or just a little more mellow, we love relaxing on the couch too! Whatever is best for your dog, I will make happen. It is important to know your dog is being treated well and I will do whatever I can do achieve that. I also know how attached I am to my pup, so while with yours I will make sure to send you some pictures and updates to let you know that they are well taken care of and happy! :)
