Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Kendall and I am an all-animal loving vet assistant and receptionist at a local animal hospital. I provide quality pet care that ensures your pets feel completely at home and comfortable when you have to be away! My boyfriend/roommate and I have two dogs, both adopted mutts who are well-behaved and friendly with other dogs (both neutered males). We have a yard, but no fence, so if we are outside we will let the dogs out with us on an extra long chain so they can roam, explore, and play (but they are never left out on the chain unattended). I am also happy to take the dogs on walks ranging from 10-45 minutes depending on the weather and individual pet's exercise needs. Rainy day? At least your love bug will receive lots of love, pets, treats, and short umbrella covered walks! Dog Caring Experience: Working full time at an animal hospital has made me very comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I was born into a family of dog-lovers and from the time I was 6 years-old we had dogs as part of our family! As soon as I graduated college and got a stable living arrangement I adopted a pup of my own. Experience Administering Medication: I frequently administer medications at the animal hospital. I am comfortable with all pills and oral medications, topical medications, and subcutaneously injected medications. If you have special/unique medication needs, as long as you are able to show me in advance how to give your pet the medication, I am comfortable doing so while he or she is in my care.

Kendall watches our two dogs regularly and does really great with them. Like many dogs, ours have their quirks, and she knows how to handle them really well, without issues arising. Kendall has two dogs of her own and she welcomes ours into their home like they’re family. Kendall also works at a vet, which gives her both great resources in the event anything comes up but also gives her a lot of exposure to many breeds of dogs who display an array of behavioral and medical needs. Kendall will treat your dog like he or she is her own and they will be in great care with her. She is happy to go the extra mile to ensure they receive good care.
Kendall has watched my dog Phoebe before. I was a new dog parent, and was scared to leave my fur baby with just anyone. Kendall was the person I chose because she works at a vet’s office and has the knowledge about what to do if something went wrong. Her dogs are PRECIOUS and got along so well with phoebe. I highly recommend Kendall 5 out of 5 stars for you to watch your precious pups!
Kendall has cared for my 2 year old pitbull mix and my 10 year old dachshund mix numerous times and my girls enjoy their visits each time! With her veterinary experience I can trust that Kendall will not only take the best care of my girls but has the necessary resources should any problem arise while I am gone. I enjoy the occasional picture/video updates from time to time which helps ensure me that my girls are in good hands and having a great time while I am away. Bambi and Juliette love their home away from home!

I am open to any and all breeds, no discrimination here! As long as the dog gets along well with other dogs, I am happy to have him or her as a guest in our home! Otherwise, I’m happy to stay at your place without my dogs being involved. Shy? That's okay, I can be patient with your introvert! Excited? I understand, new places are really fun! Just let me know in advance if your dog is mellow or energetic, or has any fears I should be aware of. For example, if he or she is scared of storms, tell me in advance so I can be sure to be as comforting as possible if one rolls in that day!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks: Our town home community is connected to a larger residential neighborhood where we like to walk the dogs. If you approve of car rides, we are only about 3 minutes from Umstead Park where we like to take dogs for walks, also! Your dog's sleeping arrangements: Where he or she is comfortable! Miss mom and/or dad? Hop up in the bed! Prefer to kick it solo on the floor or borrow one of our dogs' beds? Be our guest! My boyfriend and I adore animals and will let your pup sleep wherever he or she feels best. Time I'll spend with your dog: I will not arrange to pet sit on days I work long shifts at the animal hospital because I want to ensure the pets I care for have plenty of love and attention during the day. I don't want your dog to have to be alone while I am at work! I am willing to pet sit on days my shifts are 4-5 hours or shorter, as long as you are comfortable with that. Otherwise, I only arrange to petsit on days I have off.
