I’m a young professional working in the medical field here in Houston. I have a dog of my own, who is my best friend! I grew up surrounded by dogs of all sizes and love all breeds. I am a very active person (mostly a runner) and love taking dogs with me for walks or runs. My hours vary with work, so I have a lot of flexibility when working with your needs. I’m experienced with giving basic medications, as well. I would love to spend more of my free time taking care of and loving on animals, as I feel being surrounded by them is the ultimate lifestyle. I have lived in both an apartment and a house with a fenced yard, so I’m used to either environment! Whether you prefer dedicated walks or time for your pup to run around a dog-park, I can do either! If the heat index is high that day (because let’s face it, it’s Houston), I can let your dog out then play with him/her in your home to avoid the extreme heat!

I have no breed preferences. I would like to know about your dogs normal schedule (including potty breaks and feeding), what they enjoy to do and any habits that you feel I should know.
A typical day
I love going on walks and runs (if your dog enjoys runs). I also love playing fetch or other outdoor games. I live in the Heights so I love the TC Jester trail as well as walking around my quiet neighborhood!

Availability
I am currently not working full time, so I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule! I am mostly free in the mornings and late afternoons/evenings! Currently, I take my own dog on 2-3 walks per day, ranging from 1-3 miles (depending on the heat index that day - if it isn’t too hot he’ll run with me).
